I'll try a pharmacy NOT local to me first, not that I look like the kind of person who would use a needle for anything BUT refilling! hahahaha Thanks for the tips!!!!

I just go to Wal-Mart Pharm and ask; no big deal.. If anyone says anything, just say it's for a science project, but I've never had them say anything other than "How many do you need?".....last ones I got were 18 cents ea...

I use the megas with VG liquid. The 18 ga needle does draw the VG, but will not fit in top part of the carto (the needle is to big). I find myself filling from the bottom. I insert the carto over the bottle and turn it upside down and let the liquid drain in. Flip it back over and let any extra drain from the carto back into the bottle (less mess and waste). Not sure if this is the correct way, but so far it has worked for me.

:w00t: I just got the 18 ga to fit into my carto. Hubby sent me a You Tube video demonstration. Tried again and still could not get needle in it. I used the end of a long safety pin to pop the seal and wallah...my blunt needle fits. No mess.

Don't know if this will be helpful to anyone, but I use a 30 ml syringe top bottle. It came with a tiny needle, but as the cap of the bottle is fitted like a pharma syringe, I can put in any gauge needle I want. I use the one it came with to fill carts because it dispenses juice by the drop, but I use a larger needle to fill dropper bottles for on the go. The set I bought also came with regular caps for each bottle so I can store my juice for steeping, travel, whatever. I have even seen ones that have caps for the needle bit. Just search ebay for "syringe bottle."

Medical grade 5ml syringe with BLUNT 18ga needle

But you're gonna need a sharp or something else to pierce the membrane. A straighened out paperclip will do.

Cheers,
otrpu

Thanks to all who replied with your great suggestions! I do use a paperclip (sometimes a push pin) to pierce the seal, and this works great! I also just ordered a few 18ga blunt needles from freedomsmokeusa.com, as they're compatible with the 5ml syringes I have! Besides, I really want to try their new strawberry licorice juice...YUMMMMM :)
