Just built a 12/13 wrap 24 gauge micro coil. Not sure I am a fan as it takes a few to really get going. Also I thought it would be a warmer vape but not getting it. Would 26 gauge get me a warmer vape? I have plenty of 28 but with some of my rda's the post holes are so freaking big and I get a short most of the time due to the thinner kanthal.

Maybe try less wraps! I like 24 gauge at 7/8 wraps on a 3mm bit. Heats up quicker but stays warm a little longer
Just twist up your 28 by looping it and using with two screwdrivers to twist it tight. IDK what it measures out at, but I love it for my Stillair. I think I wound up at .4 with 6 wraps of it on a 2.5mm drill. It heats up immediately.
I've been doing dual coils with 24g at 8 wraps and it comes out to about .5 ohms. Coils heat quickly. Nice big warm juicy vaping.
After using dual 6 wraps at 3/32 ID with both 24G and 26G, I've settled on 25G. It's the best of both~
