Hi guys,

I'm looking a 24 or 25mm tank to fit claptons. I've the Geekvape avocado.. which is spot on - but useless outside the house as it leaks the lot unless upright all the time.

I just need a 2 post/velocity deck 24+mm tank (not a dripper) that does not leak and which I can fill without a screwdriver. Please would anyone have any suggestions...

Thanks

The OBS mini seems to tick all the boxes, but that's a good point about drip tips. I can't use the really wide tips.

Think I'll opt for the Griffin 25 mini (same price about $25) thanks for that suggestion, unless there's any better ideas.

I'm really enjoying my iJoy EXO RTA. It comes with two build decks, one single coil and one velocity style. It can be configured either as a short 2.5 ml capacity tank, or it comes with the chimney extension and longer glass to upgrade it to 6 ml. Adjustable airflow and juice control. I've laid the thing down on its side accidentally overnight and not a drop leaked. Top fill, so no screwdriver required, and it takes a standard 510 drip tip...

I picked up the EXO on promo from VaporDNA where it was $40 and came with 180 ml of free juice, so I didn't think it was much of a risk. Now that I'm using it, I'd buy it again at full price without the juice. I highly recommend it.

I have the original Aromamizer and it was good for flavor, but that thing leaked constantly for me. It went into the drawer after about a month and half a dozen builds, and every one of them leaked.

Had the exact same problem with the V1 Aromamizer. I had to use more cotton & care when wicking.
The Supreme is more forgiving. And now to further research the EXO..

Merlin Mini has been top notch since I picked it up. Not too airy, easy to build on, and not leaky if you wick it properly. Still waiting on my Pharoah RTA, but it looks interesting and seems like it will wick juice rapidly, so I'm not sure as to how leaky it may be, but I guess I'll have to experiment and see.

I've been really enjoying the Geekvape Medusa lately. 3ml juice well that doesn't leak unless you reallllly want it to, and a curved top cap to intensify flavor. I'd recommend one if you're into that pseudo RDTA style.

My only worry with the EXO is it leaking when you fill it and replace the top cap. I tried the Moradin - which filled the same way and the pressure of screwing the cap back on just forces the same volume of juice as the cap threads - out the bottom every fill. Kitchen roll needed to clean up every fill and all.

Looks like it has juice flow control so close, fill, open, and you shouldn't have leaking. At least from the filling up stuff.

25mm 8ml capacity (I fill once a day)
2 decks/extra glass
2 post design
I build 3.5 id coils, plenty of room. I love mine and have used it exclusively since I got it. I have five of them.
I experience no leaking. It is a top fill tank also, but I bottom fill it.
It seems to fill fuller if I bottom fill and it doesnt weep thru airflow on fills doing it this way.

If you get one and hate it, PM me and I'll buy it from you!!!:)

Exactly this. You can close the juice flow control completely when filling, then open it back up after you screw the top back on. :thumb:

... yes I have tried that with attys like the Moradin, but the juice flow control is also the airflow control and I find it super fiddly and annoying trying to get it back to exactly the same draw. I found filling it with a bit of paper towel around it (in the same open position) and losing a bit of juice to be ten times faster.

Merlin mini seems to have a wide drip tip too, but thanks for that. I've not tried any RDTA's like the Medusa, but I have a look at it too. I can't see how it won't just leak out the 2ml of juice as soon as it's not upright, but thanks too. The Boreas looks cool, but a bit big for my tiny mits at 8ml.

I'm going to try either the OBS Engine Mini ($22) or the EXO ($27) maybe the OBS as the EXO seems to have only airflow from one side (are those 4 holes on the back of the deck the airflow holes to the coils maybe...?) Thanks for all the help guys.

The air flow and juice flow controls on the EXO are separate. It's really easy to adjust one or the other when it's mounted on a device. The air flow ring is on the base of the atty and it turns easily, but stays put where you set it. To adjust the juice flow, you turn the body of the tank, which doesn't move the air flow. It's a really good design IMO.

On the dual coil build deck, the airflow comes up from under the coils. With the single coil deck, there is airflow from under the coil and the small holes are air flow to the side of the coil. There is an air flow limiter that you can screw into the bottom air flow hole on the single coil deck if you want to restrict it even more. I've been running the single coil deck since I got mine and haven't tried the limiter yet. I find I can get the draw I like with just the adjustable air flow control.

I haven't tried the OBS, so I can't really comment on that one.
