Thanks for the tip, the shop where I picked this up threw a dual coil build in there at .5 26ga. Do you find it better in single or dual for flavor?
The answer is subjective to the build you use and your own personal tastes.

1) Single Coil: In this mode you reduce the chamber size using the ceremic block. The combination of the reduced chamber plus the higher resistance will yield a warmer vape, and inherently flavourful.

2) Dual Coils: Means you vaporise more liquid at any given time, giving you the ability to vape more in one puff. This implies you ought to get more flavour in one hit; however, due to the increased chamber size and air flow, the vape will be cooler, and inherently you'll find your vaping at higher watts.

This is an age old debate. In my case, and keeping within the context, I have had my Avo 22 for months, which I have been running with a single spaced clapton build (ohms out to 0.62) and 9mg e-liquid (steeped 5 months) at 45.6w. I've had my Avo 24 for a month and I've been using it with dual twisted wire (ohms out to 0.55) and 6mg e-liquid (steeped 3 months) at 66.6w. As you can see there are a lot of discrepancies between the two, but if I had to choose, I would say I'm getting a warmer flavourful vape from the Avo 22's single coil build. But realistically, this calls for a more compatible comparison, which I intend to do sometime in the future.

Try it out for youself. It's always to fun learn and customise your vape, when you have time.

Thank you for the reply, being a locksmith I'm am a hard core "tinkerer" so to speak! I will run this through the ringer and find that warm flavorful vape for sure! Very interested in single coil mode for a little more flavor. i know it's a little more troublesome to go between single and dual coils and the needed cleaning but so far I'm digging it! Thanks for all the info!!

And with single coil you can vape a higher nic level, giving you a better throat hit.

I am really digging this tank. At first the wicking was annoying me, but I found a you tube video where the guy just rests the ends of the short wick over the juice holes and this has been working beautifully for me. I threw in a quick single coil, 24 gauge, 9/8 wrap, 3 mm build just to test it out, and it's chucking vapor.

Sounds like my build is very close to what you've got going on. Only 2.5 mm SS wire in tc mode. Very thin and short tails. Was very satisfactory, Then I remembered a pal had given me some Rayon to try a year or more back so tried wicking with that after reading JeremyR's first and second posts here Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2 . Rayon is a little different to work with than cotton as the coil needs to be stuffed with as much as can possibly fit in there and the tails must be trimmed by 50-90% of what is crammed in the coil.
When done right however it performs way better than I could ever get from cotton.

Back in the day when the Atlantis tank hit the market and I started subohming, all my liquid got diluted 100% with plain to adjust back the flavouring and nic.
Well, after going to Rayon I've had to step on the juice again to keep me from over doing it on the nic.
In the end I'm at about 2mg on nic and 2% on flavouring in my Diy mix that I use in the Avocado.
This is a good thing because I can almost drain the tank with 10 to 15 good pulls. (single coil!):shock:As always ymmv. Cheers.

@Hitmetwice I just ordered a 200 count of organic cotton from FastTech, so I do not think I'll be trying Rayon anytime soon. :)
    Haha, yeah, I hear that!!
I should have tried the Rayon I had on hand before committing to a bag of cotton bacon. If you do get a chance to try it however..... I think you'd be blown away by it, when wicked correctly.
I ran out and picked up a box of Grahams Cellucotton (Rayon) for 20 bucks from Sallys beauty supplies as soon as I realized how much better it is than regular cotton. I have enough for 2 or 3 lifetimes haha. Cheers.

You can always give the Cotton to someone for makeup removal or other things.

    Welcome to the Rayonati.

Based off what Geek Vape USA told me when I lost my insulator, HeavenGifts and MyVPro will be carrying spare parts. Back at the beginning of June I was told they would have them in a few weeks that there was a delay coming from China. With that said, I still cant find spare parts anywhere. I honestly dont use my 24 much anymore so havent kept up on a status but I would suggest calling Geek Vape USA as I am sure they can give you an update on when they should be expected.

Something for you guys to try if you're having wicking problems. Been playing with both my 24s for almost a month and sometimes they're good, sometimes not so much. It was all down to the wicking being wrong.
Where I got my idea: Being underwhelmed with my 24s I has just recently ordered an Aromamizer Supreme and I've been watching youtube builds for it so I know what to do when I get it. If you look at the Supreme's juice feed holes they are exactly like the Avocado's, except the juice flows down and under the deck on the supreme. So why wouldn't the same thing be accomplished when tilting the avocado? An idea!
The method: No scottish role, nothing fancy. I'm running 2.5mm single coil so I cut a strip of KGD cotton about 1/4" wide, took off the skins and pinched only the one end. As I fed it through the coil I slightly turned the other side of the cotton so it would compact slightly to make it through the coil without bunching. Once through and did the back and forth to make it more even inside the coil. Once I was happy I cut both sides even with the O rings on the deck. Then just curled them under the coil to cover the juice holes. Absolutely none of the cotton into the holes! Just make sure the cotton sits on the hole/deck. Did this on both sides and made sure there was space under the coil for airflow.
As soon as I turned my mod upside down and then back, I could see the juice rush right up the wicks and into the coil. Tried out my new 20 second wicking technique. Amazing flavor and not a single dry hit to be found. As long as when you take a pull the juice just touched the holes the wick will be wetted. AWESOME and easy the way it should be.
Only two down sides to this method. 1) There is no constant wicking, meaning, you have to be conscious of tilting the mod when you take a pull since the wicks aren't touching liquid all the time. 2) You cant leave it on its side for more than a few seconds without a leak occuring. One juice I make is a very thing 60/40 and it will seep out rather quickly. The other one I use being a thick 50/50 takes a while before any will come out but it will leak eventually.

Hey guys, I got a replacement avocado 24 due to my afc ring being way too loose, now this one is a bit tighter but nothing like other attys ive got. Also I've noticed condensation seaping out of the gap above the air slots, is that supposed to happen?

No doubt this thing is a flavour machine and cloud machine at least for me, but the little niggles are bugging me.

my bad, you're right. i haven't used mine for a week or so. i had to go back and look at pics of mine and see that you are correct. you will get seepage on the top line. it does suck that the press fit AFC can not be taken apart. i'm just glad mine isn't loose. mine has some resistance.
