Just got a Panzer copper clone with IGO-W5 atty and have been using 26 gauge. Well I just tried it with 5 wraps with a 24 gauge and it is way different (more flavor!)!!
I'm new to mech mods but I've been vaping for over a year without a single cigarette. I'm not CRAZY into vaping but I DO appreciate a good vape with taste being the priority over clouds (although I do appreciate a good cloud!).
There is so many vape shops where I live its hard to keep count!! Everyone spitt'n knowledge, I'm just like...whoa!! But I get it! hahaha :D
see yah

Good discovery! Personally I prefer dual micro coils for good flavor.. I don't know why but they seem to give me better taste. All my buddies who low ohm cloud chase use stuff like 24g and 22g parallels and stuff but my 2 coil 28g at 9 wraps each actually blows pretty big and delicious clouds :D

How many Ohms are you running at?

i really don't know how many ohms i'm at. I don't have an ohm reader (Perhaps I should make the investment). hmmmm 9 wraps of 28g is pretty interesting. I just do what they tell me at the vape shop(s) for newbs...lol

I might have to try these different setups for optimal taste/cloud ratios!!

I've been vaping this juice called Manifesto (its a communist russia themed company?!?) and its a really great coffee flavor. Man does this stuff taste good! ha!

No perhaps about it! Invest in an ohm reader or a Digital Multimeter (DMM). They are not expensive. Depending on someone else (an employee at a vape shop or anyone else) to tell you what to do is not a great idea if you value your life. You need to know that when you fire your mod you know what the risks are. You need to educate yourself.

What type of battery are you using?

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
PLEASE do not build another coil or anything of the sort until you get an Ohm meter! This is one of the MUST HAVES for this type of thing. A safe battery and an Ohm meter should be the first two purchases made for all mech vapers! For your own safety please get one!

This can't be emphasized enough , your playing with disaster if your messing around with a mechanical and are unsure of the ohm's of your coil , you could be very seriously injured.

A Ohm tester is not just to test Ohms, it will also detect a short.
Could save you a busted battery or worse if you put every build on a Ohms Tester before using.

if the OP is wrapping on a small screwdriver, it should equal out to around .35 or so as long as they have a decent battery they should be alright. But i do agree to get an ohm meter, mine broke so i use my wifes sigellie Tmax to test them. I do the same build most of the time with 22 or 24G and dont test the ohms sometimes, its almost always the same within .1 ohm. but like i said i agree with everyone else to get an ohm reader/ multimeter.

Agreed 100%. If you have a shop in town you trust and know well, go in and have them A. Build the coil for you, B. Show you how the ohms meters work. Shops around me sell ohms meters for dirt cheap. Seeing everything in person certainly helps because you can ask questions along the way. If a local shop does this to help you out, you know they are quality people who care about their customers. Mine does group buys for rare/beta/exclusive juices and always give me a call to let me know.
