I generally run anywhere from 4.2 to 4.9V, depending on the juice.
one question, have you ever vaped a mechanical mod with 28g, and a resistance under 1 ohm? you may think that you just dont like vaping that much wattage, based upon high resistance wattage, but i will tell you that low resistance, hi wattage is different, its so smooth and thick, i know you would like it. well then again maybe you have tried it and just prefer oyur type of set-up, and thats awesome. but if you have not tried it, then i wouldnt be so quick to say that it does not make any sense.
I totally agree with you on this.
But of all the people on here that could possibly be convinced of our ways, Rule is not one of them...believe me, I tried, and gave up trying months ago
I've got a lot of respect for the guy, though. One of the most knowledgeable among us regulars on this subforum.

this is a perfect example of how we all get to the same place with different setups. i also run a 32g 2ohm coil but run about 3.8 to 4.0V and love my buttery clouds.
My only issue with running full mechanical is lack of regulation.
I have a serious dislike of getting my hour of amazing vape then watching it tail off as the battery output drops.
The only time any of mine tail off is when I drain the batts down to 2.5 volts. lol![]()
The difference between a freshly charged battery and one at 4v is noticeable enough.![]()
You would think so...
but, like I said, the right setup REALLY makes a big, huge, world-changing difference.
18350 batts are a different story, but 18650's at .7 ohms will keep a good, steady vape going all the way down past 3.2 volts.
It's all about technique, too...I want a strong vape with a short drag, like smoking a cigarette only with more vapor. I tend to take short puffs, and I expect to have lots of vapor every time, even if I'm chain vaping vertically...
It would be, on a Zenesis.
The difference between .7 and .8 ohms is not like the difference between, say, 3.1 and 3.2 ohms. The lower the resistance, the more that number matters, exponentially.
you know i really dont commit to just one device, i love my vv device and see all of the advantages with it, also i love my mechanical mod with its pure power. so i have both and see both sides. i just cannot wait till there is a regulated device that has a super low ohm cut off. i have heard something about a dual chip of somekind, maybe something that is affiliated with the darwin device. i really dont know. i am sure ninja might know something about this. all i do know is that it will be epic.
I don't commit to one device either. I rotate several, throughout the day. But all of my devices are either VV or VW. I've been using VV almost since I began vaping. But I am committed to genesis style RBAs. I think they are the best thing to come along, so far. Variable wattage has come a long way recently. When I first started vaping, the only thing around was the Darwin, which was/is rarer than hens' teeth. Nowadays, the Chinese seem to be getting it figured out. The early ZMax weren't very good at VW. Since then, there are several choices that work very well. For me, I think it's tough to beat the combination of a well built genny and a VW device.
so the darwins now are hard to get? never liked the look of them, but heard they are kind of nice. like i said yesterday i have heard of device in which its electronics will allow it to be a vv or vw and protected and have the capability to achieve resistances super low, it would be a game changer, a most versitile device. i just dont remmember who is trying to perfect or manufacturing it.
