so im curious about Ti wire. Im wanting to get into TC and was wondering what the resistance difference is in it and kanthal? I usually go for .5 .6 for my vaping preference around 25.5w. I dont usually vape super hot. so i was wondering, is thinner wire easier to reach higher resistances like kanthal? I was gonna order a smok TCT with my new TC box but those coils are so low, im not sure if ill get the kind of vape i like with em. Just wanting some info from someone more knowledgeable then myself.

What TC mod do you have? I just started getting into TC about two weeks ago. My go to was dual fused claptons in my RDAs at around 0.2 ohms vaping at 65-75 watts for flavor. The closest experience I've had to that so far is 26g Ti1 8 wraps spaced dual coil that comes out to 0.18 ohms on my Asolo. In my Velocity around 90 watts and 540 degrees I find it slightly different but very close if not better flavor than my kanthal/nichrome fused claptons in regular wattage mode. I don't know how you can equate this to your style of vaping but I hope it helps somehow.

I do 0.2ohms with MKWS brand Ti from fasttech. 6 wraps closed coils on subtank mini. I prefer to use the nickle mode even when my mod has Ti setting. Not sure why, but i prefer the vape this gives. A slightly warmer vape closer to Kanthal feel. 270degF and abt 25Joules settings.
From what I understand, the coefficient for nickel versus titanium is different resulting in a higher real temp than your setting. When I first used Ti in temp control I unknowingly had it on Ni setting and burnt my cotton and oxidized the legs on my Ti build.
