Thank you, that's a huge compliment!

Notes about the cheap mods I linked to:

The box mod: It does not come with any accessories. Box only for those prices. I bought one to take to a family gathering. It's a simple plastic clear box mod. It has a pop-out type switch, and it fired just fine. If you are looking for something FAST and NOW; they did follow through.

The tube: It's a full package. It comes with a set of batteries, charger, atty, and juice. ATM they are including a larger tube to make 6v vaping possible. HOWEVER... (and this is VERY important) The batteries they ship are NOT protected! Also, another ECF member opened the charger and it was not quality. If I remember correctly, the charger did not turn off when it had finished. You would need to be very very careful with these items. If you purchase this: I suggest you find some protected batteries (reported not to fit completely, so if looks matter, you may take this into consideration) You certainly need protected batteries for 6v vaping. Also, it was said that the atty fitting tended to weaken over time, so investing in an extra switch is recommended. Overall, the total cost would run you more than the 30 bucks... maybe 50? 60? Although still a decent price, there are a lot of "ifs".
EDIT TO ADD: it IS a long time mod, and well known, as is the vendor.

If you can wait, I suggest waiting for Godzilla. I personally have nothing invested in this, nor will I, so this is completely my opinion and worth the typical 2c!

I was a bit concerned about people feeling the way that you do. Its only natural to feel like you are being penalized for following the rules, but I wanted to make this fair financially for everyone.

Paypal will make the reimbursement. They have to.

Advice given by Leannebug is always sound advice. Are they selling those box mods with batteries included Leannebug?

I will be honest and tell you mine will be more than that. Once I get through building the initial box mods, I will be able to sell a few. But this thread is not about selling box mods right now.

I have a couple of 5 volt box mods with LED, charger, batteries, juice sample and boge carto. I could ship right away. PM me if you want to know more about them. They are already built. I use 5 volts myself.

I have been wanting a GLV (great lakes vapor) or a chuck (not sure of their site but you could google chuck e cig). Both have incredible devices. Dont recall ever seeing something negative about them, but both will run you a bit more than a box mod.

Thank you so much Rob! PM sent. I think I have it covered except I had one question for you.

Godzilla, I have noticed people donating money or parts, but you have the hard part of putting them all together. Being I don't have extra funds rite now (my pif friends know y) I would like to offer my assistance building. If you get overwhelmed, I would be glad to build some for you. Shipping couldn't be more then a few bucks back and forth and i'll cover shipping back to you.

If I can help let me know, and I pm you my cell phone so we can stay in contact and know that i'm not taking the stuff and running. BTW I have a few pics of mods that I have build already if ya need proof of product.

I did my time at ebay and we shared the same building which is not surprising since they kiss'n cousins. I know how it works so long as you stated GOODS then you will get you money back. Yes it takes time and YES its a major PITA but you will get it. Im sure you don't expect the godd hearted people that donated money for those that will get paid back eventually. I doo feel your pain and there doesn't a lot of love here for you folks but think if it was you that didnt have any recourse to recoop your loss. I do feel your frustration believe me and I hope you do get back your money soon.

OK... This is all fine and dandy and heartwarming and all that.

I do have one question though. For those of us who are waiting to see whether paypal pays us back or not, can anybody suggest a good reliable cheap place to buy a mod? Just because we followed directions and sent the money the way he asked us to doesn't mean we don't want a mod! I realize the previous price may be hard to match but after this whole experience I for one am skeptical of every mod I see for sale now. Can someone at least post some recommendations for trusted mod builders who will sell their mods to us???

I will vouch for Godzilla, and his mod. Im an owner of one, and have been nothing but impressed with his willingness to help. (I even talked to the guy on the phone for 30min about vaping) Everyone who gets one of his mods will be impressed! Ill donate to the cause as well, and keep tabs on this thread.

The purchase I made with him was my first ever vape order and initially it did make me question the whole integrity here, but that was dissolved when I discovered PIF and now you guys...I'm overwhelmed and let's just say I feel the love.

I'm in the Paypal/Goods camp, willing to go through the process of refund, but here's my issue and I'm probably representing the class. Now the other thread is closed, we have no way of knowing what's going on regarding PP & refunds. Especially as there may be some suspicion alerady that it has to do with vaping. What do we say if they come back with more questions as to exactly what it is that we ordered. To claim the refund they do make you promise to be truthfull. I think most of us listed the goods as electronics and maybe I'm worrying about nothing, but....

At first I was hesitant to claim from PP because it could blow to an even bigger & wider issue, but didn't think I had other options. Again, I'm so thrilled about what's being done for those that don't have recourse. Question is, would it be ok for those of us with claims, to post in this thread with something significant to say regarding the process with our claim? If not, what would be suggested?

I don't see a problem with you posting in this thread. You also ordered and are working towards fixing that, and I don't know of a better place for those discussions (as long as they are civil).
Having the help and insight could be beneficial. Plus, if things don't work out, you may end up being in line for one of these replacement mods.
Ultimately though, it's up to Godzilla. This is his thread. You need to direct your question to him.

I agree with Leannebug. Lets just consider this not my thread, but "our thread" I ask that all that reads this reminds folks to be civil. There can be no bashing here, and every single one us hope everyone gets every dime back. I believe what you ordered are electronics, so just go with the flow and wait for a response from Paypal.

I think we all would like to quantify the folks that ordered as goods, but when the time comes, we will ask for that information. If anyone feels like going back and counting the number of folks that paid as goods (the ones that posted such) are welcome to do so, and report that number here. I do apologize that you folks have to wait the longest for either your money, or box mod.
Feel free to report your experience with the refund over at paypal. We all can learn from it.

I have escalated mine to a claim now. I have since bought a charger, batteries, and a wet box from the classys that only worked once and a box I got on Vapor Deal that also doesn't work. I really want a box mod and will be interested in one when they become available for purchase.

My feeling exactly. Those who played by the rules and used PayPal got screwed over too by this fiasco. You have every right to post your thoughts, feelings and results with attempting to retrieve your losses. As a matter of fact I encourge it. Since the mass majority are the ones that need to deal with PayPal you need somewhere to post and that place is here. Please don't think we we don't care about you its just that we are just starting to help and the easiest place to start is with those that have no where to turn. We are still trying to figure who those people are and that is STILL going on.

At this point I have NOT accepted one penny from any of the donors who have PMed with amounts they are willing to send nor those who have offered and not specified an amount because we want to know exactly what is needed and not a penny more. To all that offered I promised today that I would get back to them with a PayPal addy so they can donate and I will in a few hours. Some can't use or don't want to use Paypal for donations and some have offered parts for the mods and to them I will PM a mailing address also in few hours. Steve and I were up late discussing the best way handling this pouring in of love so many of you have offered and decided a night sleep will gives us a clearer mind to make those decisions. Its a good thing Im a supporting member at ECF otherwise my PM box would have been maxed out. :) You all should fell very proud of yourselves.

UPDATE:

Just got off the phone with Steve and we both decided to only except donations from people for the cost of each box made and sent out so that there will be no extra donation money to deal with. All of you good hearted people who PMed me I will forward to Steve and he will draw upon the donators as needed. He will provide a Paypal addy in which you can send the money. A few of you asked to donate money other than via PayPal in which he will provide a mailing address. This all make more sense since he will be purchasing parts, building the mods and mailing them out. So you can direct all inqueries to Steve from now on. I will still be watching this thread and should anyone need any info from me feel free to contact me but as mentioned Steve will have all the infomation concerning who is getting what and when.

I again want to thank you all for your kind hearted responses and want to say Im proud to be a small part of the ECF family.

Thank you Medic! I am sure this info will be comforting for some that are waiting for the process. Thank you also for your offer to help those in need.

Steve

I recently purchased a mod in the classys that was never delivered. I filed a claim with paypal only refering to the item as merchandise. When the seller did not respond in 10 days, paypal put the money back into my account. Easy, easy!!

I built a 3.7 mod last night. It turned out awesome. The boxes I ordered work beautifully, but unfortunately need a rare earth magnet for the box to stay closed, which is fine, but I prefer an other style of box, that also includeds a master switch. The master switch is not necessary, but is nice to have to prevent pocket firing. The ones with a master switch also come with a little catch that keeps the access panel closed, so magnets are not necessary in that case. Last night I ordered more boxes with the master switch, along with more magnets (I only had one magnet on hand). The replacement boxes have already shipped as of this morning and will be here on Monday. I presume the magnets will ship today as well. Both are shipped priority.

I made one of the 3.7's last night and it went super smooth. Very simple to build. I have been vaping on it for a few hours now, and it works very nice and fits well in the hand. I have quite a few juices that dont vape well at 5 volts, but my favorite juice tastes wonderful on this box with a 2 ohm boge carto.

I have included photos of the box below. You will also see a 5v mod next to the 3.7 just so you can compare size. I have lots of the 5v boxes built already, so if anyone is interested in one of those, let me know. In week or so, I will start new thread with purchase information.

The ones that I will ship will look just like the 3.7 mod in the picture. LED choices will be bright blue, periwinkle, orange, pink, red or green.

Please note that I will not be selling any 3.7 volt box mods (the smaller one) until I have fulfilled those that we have promised to help in this thread. I do have plenty of 5 volt mods kits that can be shipped right away.

Now lets see if I can post these photos correctly.
