I agree with you Lynleestar. Many of us are hoping its not something serious. I know that there was a medical emergency with his son, and when in surgery, something else was discovered. Not sure how serious this something else was, But I do have to say this.

Brad was a good guy, experienced by me and so many others By what he was charging, was obviously not out to gouge anyone. I also know early on, he was dealing with manufacturer issues, that just was not his fault. All that, coupled with a Paypal account being frozen due to paypal comments being written in the order about ecigs, I am afraid I would quickly have a litte tunnel vision, and focus solely on the well being of my most precious loved one, rather than a few hundred dollars worth of debt.

Hopefully Brad can be at peace knowing all his customers will get taken care of, one way or another.

I'm so blown away by you guys and your kindness~! SO awesome!

I'm still hoping that if anyone hears a word concerning Brad please pass it on as I am concerned about his well being.

I recently purchased a mod in the classys that was never delivered. I filed a claim with paypal only refering to the item as merchandise. When the seller did not respond in 10 days, paypal put the money back into my account. Easy, easy!!

+1

Excellent news. As i mentioned before Paypal will honor purchase that are not honored/recieved so I hope this brings a little comfort for those who have already set the claim process in action!

Wolf: PIF is Pay It Forward - we have a little group here in the social section. Just celebrated our 1st birthday on the 16th! When you're not too busy stop by and wave at the peeps!

I stopped by to say HI - and great job!

Please add me to the list of members willing to pitch in some $$ if needed.

And my thoughts and prayers go out to Brad - hope all is going to be ok.

And way to keep this thread civil - people can act crazy when money has been lost and no one has real answers. Good job. Proof that there is hope for this plant.

Cereal? ;)

PIF is Pay it Forward. There is a PIF forum. They are a wonderful, giving group of people on the forum, that offer things to people in emergency, threads to give a way un-needed ecig stuf, and a thread of giving, where people offer up samples of juice for free, where you can grab them for your self, and in turn offer something to someone else. It is a very cool thread, and a cheap way to try and pass on different juices.

Time for a bump.

And what is PIF?

I am running out for a couple of hours, and will be stopping at a few stores to see if I can pick up some magnets for these box mods, so I dont have to wait until Monday to start building the rest of these.

If you have any questions, please post them in our thread here, or PM me.

I am still waitng on LED choices for the recipients of the 3.7 mods.
Skeet, I have yours.

Gimante, can you please PM me with your choice of LED color. Bright blue, periwinkle, orange, pink, red or green.

Thank you all.

A will be putting together a post later today with little thank you for each that have been willing to donate. We have plenty.

So far its looking like the first 4 folks that offered to donate are all we will need. We had a total of 18 people that offered to donate cash, and quite a few others offered to help build these, or are shipping parts or supplies to build these.

Ok, off to the dump to empty the trailer. Good times.

OK... This is all fine and dandy and heartwarming and all that.

I do have one question though. For those of us who are waiting to see whether paypal pays us back or not, can anybody suggest a good reliable cheap place to buy a mod? Just because we followed directions and sent the money the way he asked us to doesn't mean we don't want a mod! I realize the previous price may be hard to match but after this whole experience I for one am skeptical of every mod I see for sale now. Can someone at least post some recommendations for trusted mod builders who will sell their mods to us???

Check out MadVapes for mod kits, built box mods, mod parts .... :)

Oh man, now I feel even worse filing dispute/claim today with PP... figured there were serious post operative complications with his son, heard about the PP issue too. Why I waited son long to file with PP..ordered and paid on 3/29, hoping he would get in touch and we could sort things out w/o adding to his PP woes....if anyone is in touch with him please pass on my best regards, best wishes that all goes well for his son....

Yes, it's been a big concern for those that know him (and his character) But it's perfectly understandable to worry and wonder when you don't. You had every right to file a claim. Don't beat yourself up about it.

The whole reason so many have stepped forward to help, because we know it's not something Brad would intentionally do. I believe it's our way of helping those that are powerless, but also to help protect his good name. There is obviously something going on that we aren't privy to.... We can only do what we can to help, and keep him in our prayers.

I agree with all of the above. The list of people needing our help isn't final but so far appears to be a short list. Most all are protected by PayPal and the offers well exceed the need. Your al toooooooooooo awesome. So don't be surprise or feel that we dismissed your offers of help its just probably that we just won't need it all. I have gotten ask by a few friends if I was backing out and as I stated before I'm less needed at this point actually useless (my wife will agree) :). Steve is in charge and tho we just recently have gotten acquainted I have confidence he will carry this out to the end. Those good friends who have donated and ask me to stay in touch with this venture I will. Again there are not that many people that met the requirements so once they have their mods made and shipped there shouldn't be any extra donated money and this thread will be closed. Steve will make his decision to open a new thread as selling supplier and anyone wanting his products can order them through there......this thread is not for that purpose.

Complete box mod kits, including 2 14500 protected batteries, 145000 charger, 3.7 box mod with LED, and a Boge LR carto will be sent to the following people:
Leannebug
Gimante

I need LED color choices from both of you please.

A replacement box mod will be sent to the following people (Theirs broke, and had not received the replacement)
Skeeterkck
donnah

I also need LED color choices from you as well. Bright Blue, periwinkle, orange, pink, green and red.

Hopefully if there are others that have no recourse, have a broken bod, or returned a mod for repair to never receive it back, will come forward and let us know.

As I mentioned As I mentioned, I need magnets, or the new boxes I ordered in order to build these, as dont want to have to use a set screw to keep the battery door closed. I think it would get stripped out, and I know I wouldnt want to have to take a screw out every time I needed to change the battery.

As far as donations, My intensions are to ship these out first. I will ask for payment of donations only after the recipients receive their box mods.

I need some advice on how to handle the donations. I can either go down the list and use the full offered amount from each donor, in order on the list, or I could ask for somewhere around $5 to $7 from all 11 people who offered cash donations. We only need $64 to satisfy the needs of the 4 that have come forward. The first 3 people graciously covered that amount.

It would be a lot easier to just go in order, in case others come forward after I ship these 4 box mods out, and look to the next people on the list if there are others down the road.

Any thoughts?????

A big thank you to the following people for offering cash, juice, supplies, offers to help build these, etc. There were also others that said to contact them if more help is needed.

You can take me off the list. Though I would love to have one, I only ordered drops!

I agree.

I only saw the thread a few days ago. There may be other people that don't know yet, there could possibly be problems with PP.. so there is a chance that more people will come forward. It would be easier to have some donations available in reserve (to be collected as needed) than to try and start over.

This is a very generous thing you are doing Steve, you should not have to do all the work and foot the bill.
