3.7 Box Mod Co-p of kindness! PLEASE READ

OK, these puppies are almost done. They are waiting on magnets. I really like how these turned out using the magnets I had on hand, and the rest will be here Monday afternoon. They are at the sorting center about an hour from home. I should have no problem shipping these on Tuesday. Now for some photos.

I will take me an hour to finish up the 5 boxes. I just need to solder a couple of wires, the LED, and secure the magnets. And another hour to package everything up.

This is the one with the magnets. Its a bit messy. This one will be my personal one. Trial and error, to try and find the right spot for the magnet, and to figure out how to secure it properly. I have it down now. I love how the magnet keeps the door snugly closed, but not difficult at all to slide off.

Here is a top view. You can see the clean bead of jb weld around the atty connector. This serves two purposes. To keep juice from leaking in the box, and it helps keep the atty connector from spinning. The other trick is to drill the proper sized hole, so its not too loose, and not too tight. Too tight and it can crack when you shove it in there. And the size is between bit sizes, so the final step takes some finess. I have it down pat.

I also put JB weld on the inside of the box around the atty conector. Sorry, this connector isnt going anywhere. I take all the wire out that comes in these boxes, and I rewire with heavier guage wire, and use copper. I guess they are against copper abroad. Plus, my soldering is way better than the original soldering.

And here is a little bragging from my fishing trip with Andy "Cooch" Cuccia on Wednesday. He used to fish the circuit, and is now a guide about 15 minutes from my home. This is a photo of Cooch, and the first fish landed.
Edit: I forgot to mention the coolest thing. I traded the guide trip for the very first 2 5 volt box mods I ever built. He is down from 40 analogs per day to about 15 and dropping. His favorite flavor right now is KBV auntie M's Coffee.

And I had the biggest fish. In fact, its my largest black bass ever. 10lbs. 7oz.

I will update everyone tomorrow, but I don't forsee any issues at all. I am still waiting on an LED color for Draco, and a shipping address.

Got a recommendation for ya, you say u have to be carefull with drilling the hole for the atty. Easy fix, drill 1 size smaller and use a dremmel cone grinder. After 2 or so u will have a mark on the stone showing u where to stop. No more too big holes and no more cracking from too small.

I think copper is more expensive which maybe why they go for the cheap. Looks like quality work. People will be happy when they get them.

I was just talking to my mom yesterday about wanting a Dremel tool. I guess I should have a couple of cone grinders, since cleaning out the switch hole would be ideal with a dremel.

As Steve has said we will keep this thread open for a little while longer in hopes we dont miss an straglers. That said we will be finished and anyone interested in buying one of those sweet looking box mods at a great price will have your chance when he opens a selling thread and the good news he will be stocked up no waiting. Till then we will finish what we started here with the help many of you who contributed get mods to all those we set out to do.

As it stands, we will only need $70 total to satisy everyone. Because of all the donations of goods, this has been a fairly inexpensive endeavor. So while I would love to take a donation from everyone that offered, its just not going to happen.

If I have people that come forward at a later date, I will send proof to the donors on the list that never got to donate this go around, and ask for a donation then. I will still honor my part of the donation, free batteries, a carto, and a small sample of juice, so the net cost for full 3.7 kits will remain at $20 for those that can show proof they were out the full kit.

Ok, here is the latest update.

To the right of the donor name will be the amount donated and received by me (I had two folks that insisted on sending the money now for different reasons)

Complete box mod kits, including 2 14500 protected batteries, 145000 charger, 3.7 box mod with LED, A KBV juice sample, and a Boge LR carto will be sent to the following people:

Hey everyone, The box mods are all tested, packaged, and tracking has been sent to everyone. I will be dropping them off at 9AM in the morning to the PO. I want to leave this thread up at least until everyone receives their boxes, if not longer.

As far as the boxes, The bright blue LED's are a gorgeous and bright blue. The red, is well......red. But the pink! Oh Em Gee its gorgeous. I would say its more like a magenta. I need to warn you. The juice sample in there. Well its delish. KBV warm sugar cookie. Its a small sample, but another little juice surprise will arrive later in the week, or very first part of next week, so keep an eye out for it.

I went ahead and included a set of batteries with each order. Make sure to charge them. I included a Boge LR 510 atomizer at 2.0 ohms. The 1.5 ohm cartos work real well too. One of you will be surprised with a smoke tech dual coil LR atty at 1.5 ohm. Its the only one that doesnt have a logo on it.

I dont like dripping on these because it is messy, but that is just me. You will find you have to wipe juice up all the time, and it will run down the side of the box, and follow that little channel that the lid slides on. Boge cartos dont leak, and the flavor is real good. If you love the box mod, you may want to consider a 5volt one. Many flavors come alive at 5 volts (while others do not stand up to the high heat of 5 volts) Warm sugar cookie rocks at 5 volts, but you should acheive something very similar with the LR carto.

Please let me know what you think of them, and by all means let me know if you are having issues.

I will say this. If you do not own a multi meter, I would go buy one. They can be found for under $10. Its great to test batteries, and also the ohms of your attys and cartos. At least until all the manufacturers mark them.

A little trouble shooting, just in case.

If the box mod isnt vaping do these things.

Make sure the batteries are charged, and that the charger is working. Green light when plugged in without batteries, red when charging, orange or yellowish orange just before full charge, and finally green once charged. Do not charge batteries unattended, or when you are not home. Do not leave the batteries in that charger for a long time after charge. There is a cutoff switch in the charger, and a protection circuit in the battery, but you never know. They are lithium ion batteries, and both are made somewhere other than the USA.

Make sure the positive nipple of the battery is touching the positive plate.

Put in a different carto or atty. Sometimes the cartos center post does not touch the center post of the atty connector, but it is easy to adjust. Find a fairly small screwdriver. You will notice 2 little notches on the bottom. turn it 1/8th of a turn counter clockwise and that will bring it out just slightly. It doesnt take much.

Make sure sure there are no loose wires.

The buttons are not bullet proof, but so far have not had any problems with them. But they can break, but I built these so that can be repaired.

Just so you all know, I need to sell some box mods so your referrals are much appreciated. Feel free to wait until these mods are received and used. I have asked that everyone report their opinions.

My goal is 50 mods in 50 days so I can take the rugrats to Disneyland. My youngest is tall enough to go on Space mountain. Bwaahahahahaha!!!!

No, not yet. I dont really like the POT on the kit that madvapes just released, but I will look into finding a better one. I also think I need a slightly bigger box than the 5 volt box. Baby steps. Thank you Samsun.

I am all caught up. All 5 mods were shipped out this morning.

I have about 15 assembled 5volt box mods built with blue LED, a few more that the LED choice is available on, and (6) assembled 3.7 volt box mods, plus plenty of parts to build more. I am short on cartos, but that will change in a couple of days. I have 150 of them on their way.
