Its because so much of the cost was donated by others.

You are so nice, but at the same time, I wanted to honor my end of the bargain.

I agreed to donate the time to build the box, and the batteries themselves.
Juice was donated, cartos was donated.

The rest of the real cost that I needed to pass on to the donors is this:

Cost of box parts only, charger, and shipping. For those that only needed a box mod, that only came to $6 plus $6 shipping.

So yes, the fact that there were only 5 replacement boxes total kept this endeavor quite cheap.

I was happy to do it, and I am now even happier now that the box mods are selling.

I only have 2 of the pink LED's left until Monday (more like a bright magenta, and its gorgeous)

Hi All.

I'm back from the memorial service, and trying to catch up. I'm a little confused. I thought I was sending the receipients 1-2 boxes of cartos each. For the people that had lost out on the mod packages, (whether or not it was a full purchase or a fix.. I figured they deserved it for their troubles) Yet, from what I've been reading I am not sure what is needed from me..??

Have you sent the attys/cartos Steve?

(I know you have other plans for your own business, but for the donations the plan has always been to send a box, yet I keep seeing only one carto as the offering.)

I am completely exhausted after 12 hours of plane travel with my recently widowed 93yr old grandmother, my ill father, bossy mom, .... through thunderstorms, multiple cancellations, lost luggage and have only slept 2 hrs this morning

PLEASE.. will someone fill me in??

It seems I am having trouble adding. The net cost for these is $70 after considering my contribution of building, and batteries.

Hey everyone, The box mods are all tested, packaged, and tracking has been sent to everyone. I will be dropping them off at 9AM in the morning to the PO. I want to leave this thread up at least until everyone receives their boxes, if not longer.

As far as the boxes, The bright blue LED's are a gorgeous and bright blue. The red, is well......red. But the pink! Oh Em Gee its gorgeous. I would say its more like a magenta. I need to warn you. The juice sample in there. Well its delish. KBV warm sugar cookie. Its a small sample, but another little juice surprise will arrive later in the week, or very first part of next week, so keep an eye out for it.

I went ahead and included a set of batteries with each order. Make sure to charge them. I included a Boge LR 510 atomizer at 2.0 ohms. The 1.5 ohm cartos work real well too. One of you will be surprised with a smoke tech dual coil LR atty at 1.5 ohm. Its the only one that doesnt have a logo on it.

I dont like dripping on these because it is messy, but that is just me. You will find you have to wipe juice up all the time, and it will run down the side of the box, and follow that little channel that the lid slides on. Boge cartos dont leak, and the flavor is real good. If you love the box mod, you may want to consider a 5volt one. Many flavors come alive at 5 volts (while others do not stand up to the high heat of 5 volts) Warm sugar cookie rocks at 5 volts, but you should acheive something very similar with the LR carto.

Please let me know what you think of them, and by all means let me know if you are having issues.

I will say this. If you do not own a multi meter, I would go buy one. They can be found for under $10. Its great to test batteries, and also the ohms of your attys and cartos. At least until all the manufacturers mark them.

A little trouble shooting, just in case.

If the box mod isnt vaping do these things.

Make sure the batteries are charged, and that the charger is working. Green light when plugged in without batteries, red when charging, orange or yellowish orange just before full charge, and finally green once charged. Do not charge batteries unattended, or when you are not home. Do not leave the batteries in that charger for a long time after charge. There is a cutoff switch in the charger, and a protection circuit in the battery, but you never know. They are lithium ion batteries, and both are made somewhere other than the USA.

Make sure the positive nipple of the battery is touching the positive plate.

Put in a different carto or atty. Sometimes the cartos center post does not touch the center post of the atty connector, but it is easy to adjust. Find a fairly small screwdriver. You will notice 2 little notches on the bottom. turn it 1/8th of a turn counter clockwise and that will bring it out just slightly. It doesnt take much.

Make sure sure there are no loose wires.

The buttons are not bullet proof, but so far have not had any problems with them. But they can break, but I built these so that can be repaired.

Just so you all know, I need to sell some box mods so your referrals are much appreciated. Feel free to wait until these mods are received and used. I have asked that everyone report their opinions.

My goal is 50 mods in 50 days so I can take the rugrats to Disneyland. My youngest is tall enough to go on Space mountain. Bwaahahahahaha!!!!

Hey Leannebug, I was leaving the extra Cartos up to you. I really could not control when you were going to ship those, and I thought you were contacting the people separately. Your additional cartos were I am sure very appreciative, but again, I did not want to make representations, plus I knew you were going to be out of town for a few days. I had enough LR cartos to include one with each box mod, as my part of the donation.

I think I sent you address info for the last 2 recipients and was under the impression you would pick up when you got back.

PM me if you need anything else Leanne. Sorry, I did not mean to confuse you, but was anticipating that it would be a nice surprise for these folks to get extra cartos from you. I also included a small sample of KBV juice, with more on the way to me, which will be directly shipped to the recipients as soon as it arrives to me. You know, the gift that keeps on giving......
