Title says it all I searched and got a little confused because obviously the V1 Prodigy is a little larger and can accept larger batteries...

So, Who here has a V2 Prodigy definitely vaping at 3.7 and where and what type of batteries are you using?

(I am only interested because I love certain juices at 5 and certain at 3.7... I'm a picky s-o-b)

Yah.. unless I had two I'd be down for that... was just wondering if there was a battery or sleeve that'd work with it.. seems there is none.. but who cares... =) I have other PV's at 3.7... just ever since I have been vaping passthroughs in the wall I have been craving that 5v with my particular level of nic.. and this mod is for me! =) 6v tends to get harsh at 24mg.. 5 is so spot on

Just curious why a 18650 or 17500 (??) battery would not work. I have many flashlights that uses either 2 x cr123a batteries that also work with 1 x 18650 battery. Just different voltage.

Design flaw??

Not a design flaw, but more of a device designed to be a dedicated 5V workhorse with little to no room to spare for what's not needed. As such, it doesn't even take a number of the more popular 16340s, because they're just a tad bigger than what their specs suggest. It does fit the Tenergy 750s and the AW 500s, two LiFePO4 batteries with safe(r) chemistry, that hold up pretty well. 3.7V is the Protege, 5V is the Prodigy V2. Different battery configurations and HV atties can yield different, as yet unknown, results from both devices, but nevertheless they do their intended jobs exceptionally well.

You can use a cut down 12ml luer lock syringe as a sleeve and run a 14500 for 3.7 with the copper switch from the protege. Works just like a big protege. you'll need to make a short spacer out of an aluminum or brass tube that you can pickup at any Ace Hardware or Lowes.

You really think these guys are going to let you get away without posting pics of this idea....................Just saying :sneaky:

I made a mod to make mine run @ 3.7 just for the helluvit but changed it back.
I have 5 PS devices and really prefer to leave the V2 alone (toking it now).
I have the Protege's for 3.7 and Prodigy for switching back and forth.

The V1 with the V2 ring works great @ 5V :) better than the resistor switch "I think". Gotta tinker with something....

I questioned Steve about it and he asures me a 17670 won't fit in the tube of the V2. The LifPo4's and the 17670 are both spec'd at 17mm but he says it won't go. He;s a stand-up guy so I believe him.

Too bad, beause if it did, it would only be a matter of changing to a copper disc in the switch and the V2 could run either voltage. I don't want to spend the money for a whole other unit (Protege). But there's def times when I would like to have a long mAh unit at 3.7. I wish I had a 17670 to see how far off it is. It can't be much. Maybe a little honing on the tube would do it.

Oh well.
