3.7 volt vs. 5.0 volt box mod

What is the difference between the 3.7 volt and the 5.0 volt box mod? If have two of the 3.7 versions and am considering a 5.0 version but don't know why.

There is a mod section on here....There are a lot of options with Mods so i always defer to the experts on those...

I guess the other option is a variable voltage mod...like one of these...
