Funny you ask! I had 2 atomizers act up on me yesterday so as usual, I tried cleaning them first. Soaked them in white vinegar first, then in hot water, blew 'em out and set them up to dry. This morning, 2 more started acting up so I got the clean ones out. They don't work at all! I don't understand it....I cleaned them as I have before. They are 5 weeks old now.

So the 2 that started acting up this morning I just cleaned with hot water only and they are sitting to dry. Thankfully I have others to use.

I guess those 2 that I cleaned and don't work now are kaput! :(

Hope the ones I just washed turn out okay.

Lu,

What brand of e-cig do you have?

if it won't even heat up, chances are they are dead for good.

I was afraid of that. I test them by dripping a few drops of liquid in then suck right off the atomizer. Nothing is happening. I know it's not the batt because I am using that with a new atomizer and it's fine there. Drat!

Well the cartridges are a different story. They don't really "die", per se....they just dry up. The atomizer part (which heats them) sometimes just die for no apparent reason. One minute there, next minute gone. The batteries can do the same thing.

People will tinker around with them to try to revive them and they will clean them out but at some point, there is no revival. Nope....they just go to "ecig parts heaven" with their other zillion brothers and sisters...lol

Cartridges are the easy part because they can be refilled and reused (to a certain point anyway) but with batts and atomizers....well, you better have spares on hand because once they die for good, there's no going further.

I had 2 Cartridges that died after using only a few times. I was pretty dissapointed. I got some tips from others to use e-liquid to refill the cartridges. I haven't bought any yet but I will soon. I guess, give the e-liquid a try because my cartridges don't last nearly as long as advertised.

Don't throw those carts away - you'll bring them back to life with a drop or two of glycerine. Do a search on "glycerine" - you'll be glad you did! :)

I've had my M401 for about two weeks, 1 of my 2 atomizers died last night. I soaked it in boiling water for a few minutes and let it dry over night, this morning tis still dead.

I put it in some alcohol and let it dry off, fired it up, nothing  now I'm in a slight panic about my other atomizer.

I ordered 4 more atomizers, another battery and some juice from litecig but I pay by check so it will take awhile. I don't want to go back to analog, I'm hoping this atomizer holds out.

What I am also concerned about is the Non-PG juice sample pack from JC that I'm using, one of the bottles had cloudy white stuff floating in it and after reading some here I take it this is not a good thing :(

Something to note about cleaned atomizers, it can take *several* inhalations before they start producing vapor again - it's very deceptive because it seems like they've totally died after cleaning, but then on that certain puff they'll come to life again and work fine!

Here's a tip for everyone - don't shoot away your seemingly dead atomizers because sometimes they'll start working again after letting dry for many days. It's just the trapped water inside which causes this :)

Another trick is to use a hair blower on them to quickly help remove any remaining moisture.

I have big trouble coming then. I received my first 901 on 22nd October or thereabouts and I am still using that atomiser and I use it a lot. Two months is probably reasonable I suppose, but I love this atomiser. Luckily, I have quite a few others in store and ready for the sad day.
My penstyles all came more or less together a few weeks after the 901 and one of those atomisers died after about three weeks. I have also lost 4 901 batts in my two months of vaping.

Litecig have a six month guarantee on their products so they should replace your dead atomiser for you.

When did you get your Johnson Creek juice, is it from an old batch? You are the first person to mention problems since the most recent recipe was circulated.

I wouldn't use that juice if I were you, it might not be healthy.

I had 3 atomizers with my starter kit (DSE801 pen) The 1st one is still going strong after
more than a month but the other two died an early death due to full power USB (IMHO)
I won't be messing around with the usb mods again until I get the MF-R050 multifuse resistor that "aaa" has been touting for so long. (even no one listens to him ;) )

I will let it sit for a week or so and give it another try. Thank you

It's good to know about the guarantee, I will contact them if it doesn't come back to life.

Just got the juice a couple of weeks ago, they are really faint little cloudy wisps in the smooth hickory sample. I think I'll toss it then, I don't want to take any undo risks. Thank you
