Hey Sirs and ma'ams,

I was dry burning some gunk off of a 2.0 ohm 510 atty using my 900mah ego, and all of a sudden it flashed 3 times and quit on me. After this I tried several things.

1. Plug the atty into my 650mah ego, atty worked, battery worked
2. Plugged an identical 2ohm atty into the 900mah battery. Also worked
3. Fully charged the 900mah with no issues, works on all attys and cartos except this one.
4. Dry burned the non-problem atty with the 900mah, also worked fine.

I dry burn in 5 second spurts so as not to hit the battery's cutoff or blow the atty. I also do not do it for long, maybe 10 5second spurts.

Why is my 900mah not liking this atty? I know that these are smart batteries and can sense problems, but that should mean that if there were a problem with the atty, the 650mah wouldn't work either, and the atty vapes wonderfully. 900mah also vapes wonderfully on other similar or identical attys.

So if it's not a dead atty, and it's not a dead battery, what is it? Any ideas?

Hard telling but if this happened to me, I'd look at the center connection of the atomizer - it might be that it has moved in the silicone that it sits in and shorts out because of some slight 'off spec' on the battery's center post or ring - also could be a build up of gunk on the battery connection (or the atty too) that is causing a bad connection. One can take a bamboo pick and move the center piece on the atty or if it's just cleaning - take some high proof alcohol to clean... isopropyl if you wash it off and dry thoroughly after.
