1.5 to 1.8 is perfect, I think that 3 ohm would be the max and you really dont want or need too bee that high. Get a couple of both and see what you like best, set your watts to middle of the road and adjust to taste. Once that is figured out changing from the 1.5 to 1.8 needs no adjusting of the watts its done auto for you.

Well thats what they say anyway

What sort of coils?

To be honest I'm not sure it was suggested that because of the istick not having a buck converter but instead it has a boost converter I might want to go with a 3 ohm so far I've only found a couple of single coils that are 2.8 & 3.2 ohm I'm not very knowledgeable on coils yet I was looking at dual coils cause I figured the were better than single but most dual I've seen are like 1.5 & 1.8 I'm thinking of getting the Pro tank 2 if that helps

Is there any difference between single and dual? I know I can get both in 1.5 & 1.8 but only found 2.8 and 3.2 in single coils

Anyone know if and where 3 him coils can be bought most I found ate 1.5-1.8 I'm thinking of getting the istick and it was suggested to get a 3 ohm coil

The iStick is a mod, AKA a PV (personal vaporizer). What device (atomizer) are you putting on it that you will put the coils in?

If I go with a single coil it will be the Protank 2, If I go Dual it will be the Protank 3 unless I find something similar in price rang but bigger holding and replaceable drip tip

That answers my previous question :)

You've got 20 watts and a voltage range of 3 – 5.5 volts, but the voltage can't go down below battery voltage which is sometimes 4.2v.

At 2.5 ohms you'll always have a range of 7-12 watts.
At 2.0 ohms you'll always have a range of 9-15 watts.
At 1.5 ohms you'll always have a range of 12-20 watts.

With the Pro Tank (single coil) I suggest you try 2.5 ohms first and see how that goes.

You won't find 3.0Ω dual coils, as that would require two 6.0Ω coils. With single coils, the last time I bought Protank heads I think the highest they came in was 2.5Ω, but maybe they come higher now. The only stock toppers I can think of that regularly come in 3.0Ω are cartomizers and plain 510 atomizers. Again, I could be wrong.

3.0Ω resistance is recommended for the Classic ProVari as well, but the only thing I ever used at that resistance was carto tanks. In the case of the ProVari, the 3.0Ω suggestion is due to the limit of 6 volts/12 watts. At the time, 12 watts was considered quite high and using a 3.0Ω coil to get there would require less amps than a lower resistance coil.

So go with the Protank 2 which its single core offers 2.2 or 2.8 cause the dual highest is 1.8

I went from aspire nautilus to rebuildables.

Never tried anything higher than a ce4 2.4Ω most the time I'm 1.4-1.8 single or so far 0.8 - 1.1Ω dual.

Not to familiar with rebuildables while I can change out a CPU or a HDD on a computer not sure what knowledge is required in rebuildables LOL!

Oh the knowledge is here for them - for me though the practical can be a challenge - the decks ,coils, screws are a lot smaller than when you see them in videos.

Maybe I look into Rebuildables in time coming for now give me something where I can just replace a coil and drip tip LOL!

a 1.5 ohm dual coil contains two 3 ohm coils in it.
a 1.8 ohm dual coil contains two 3.6 ohm coils in it.

If you want a 3 ohm single coil, 2.8 or 3.2 are close enough; your istick can adjust/be-adjusted to taste.
