I'm seeing the ProTank 2 with 2.5, 2.2 and 1.8 ohm heads available. Maybe there are some other Kanger versions out there or maybe some knock-offs? These are the 2.5 ohm heads.

Actually, the OP is correct. Sweet Vapes does have a Kanger single coil 3.2Ω option: Kanger Single Coils - Kanger Coils - Kangertech - Clearomizers Tanks They must be new.

It's odd, but this is the second time I have seen an item on Sweet Vapes with a higher resistance option than I found anywhere else. (The other item was not by Kanger.)

Sweetvape.com,Canvape.com and a couple of others shows they have single coils with 3.2 ohm most every one els show up to 2.5 2.8 so the question really is with The istick Should I go with a Protank 2 with a 2.5 ohm or a protank 3 with an 1.5 or 1.8 ohm?

If it was me (and I do use Protanks), I would start with single coils (the PT2). Why? The tank and the heads are less expensive; the heads are easy to rebuild; single coils don't use up juice as quickly and they don't use up battery life as fast. If you don't like them, then go with the PT3. And if you end up with the PT3, the PT2 is still around for back-up. I tend to use Protanks when I go out, since I'm not too concerned with what could happen to them. That's a good thing. Between the 510 connection snapping off, the 510 connection of the Kanger airflow controller snapping off and at least 3, I recall, that got dropped by myself or others and smashed on the floor, I consider them almost disposable. Kanger quality can be very inconsistent.

It's easier to rewick the protank2 coils because they are single coils;
the protank3 comes with dual coils so those are more difficult to just rewick to keep them going.

Don't know of a 3Ω single coil unless you build it yourself.
That's what I'm saying! I am building up the gear and supplies to build
coils and make juice and about 90% there and got the 10% ordered.

I'm going to slowly just max everything out! If it blows up in my face it
wouldn't be the first time something blew up in my face. LOL a little!

I wouldn't get the protank 2 to pair with the istick. IME the PT & PT2 can struggle to keep up and burn at or above 8 or so watts.

Couple that with the istick that has a tendency to throw voltage a little high and there's a chance you might struggle to ever get a decent hit that's not burnt.

Last I read through the istick thread there was a lot of praise for the nautilus and mini nautilus. Though they're certainly a little more investment.

Good advice. I know zip about iSticks. There are too many mods coming out too fast and I can't keep up with all of their idiosyncrasies.

So what tanks do you suggest?

Edited to add a note on nautilus popularity from the istick crowd.

Though admittedly I have no experience with either.

I suggest asking what's working for folks in the istick thread... or at least looking through the thread to get a general consensus. (Take a look through the pics too. I imagine the full size nautilus might be unattractive on the istick for many people.)

I have a Nautilus. I forget why. It's okay.

ETA: I think a full sized Nautilus is unattractive period. It has this plastic thing at the bottom that makes me think of a blob of glue. I got a cage tank for it, that should make it look nicer, but it's 2/3 full of juice. It holds a lot of juice.

Another option would be to use a box with a reliable buck/boost converter. I have bought 4 mvp 2.0s for people and they all sing praise. I've used them myself and they're great little devices. And now there's the mvp 20 watt out. Goes from 3 to 7 or so volts and 6 to 20 watts IIRC. I don't recall where, but I did find it for about $40.

Methinks that would open more options for tanks.

I just reread Ryedan's post. Boost, no buck? That seems weird. And the point is (outside of cheaper manufacturing costs)???

Maybe just that and space constraints. Have you seen how small that thing is?

Not in person. I wonder if size is why the OP wants it? It looks to be around the same price as an MVP 20 from 101 Vape ($38.99).

I've seen folks say they've paid as low as $30 for one.

To me though... With the little issues that are popping up between the inconsistent/high voltage issue, the 510 connector issue and how fragile it looks, I'd pay the extra $10 for the slightly larger, proven device.

Especially once you consider the limitations of the istick. And the mvp isn't large by any means. Smaller than a pack of cigs. And now the 20 watt mvp has the flush 510 so tanks sit lower making it even smaller.

With the mvp 20 watt the OP could get any tank with a 510 connector and buy whatever heads/coils are in stock without batting an eye. It will power them all just fine with its power range.

Sounds like a plan! Let's make a shopping list and snag the OP's credit card.

Yea I'm seeing a lot of that too I just hate to see spending the money to end up dropping it and it break cause I can be pretty clumsy but do like not having a burnt taste in my mouth
