Hi all,

Me again with yet another question

I've been trying different flavours of eliquid and different PG/VG ratios to try and find whats best for me. I've tried 70PG/30VG and 50/50 and my next to try is a high VG liquid 35PG/65VG.

I've read things around the internet that some tanks do not work very well with the higher VG liquids. I was wondering if the ratio I am going to be trying falls under that category and if so would any of the following tanks work okay, if not which would be the best to try with? (I own the tanks described below):

- Innokin iClear 30
- Aspire Nautilus Mini
- Kanger EVOD
- CE4 Style clearomiser

If you like some VG in your juice for heavier vapor, 70pg/30vg and 60pg/40vg are common. Any higher in VG and you might have to move to a dripper atty. There are people who like 50/50 mixes and it's a common ratio.

Dark juices tend to clog coils and wicks. If you vape dark juices that are high in VG, it's a rough road unless you drip.

PG gives you more throat hit and flavor. VG ... less TH and much more vapor. Finding the sweet spot for the mix that meets your flavor preference is part of the challenge.

To answer the question: Yes. 65/35 is going to be hard to vape in a small wick clearomizer/cartomizer.

You can make it easier by following the previous advice of adding water to the mix. Just a 5% addition of water by volume will make that mixture wick as easy as a high PG mix. Even 3% Distilled water would likely do the trick.

Thanks guys, thats why I'm trying the 65VG/35PG liquid to find out how it compares to the 50/50 and 70PG/30VG. Thanks for clarifying that the higher VG liquids clogs coils and wicks. But does anybody know which of the tanks I listed above generally work better with the higher VG liquids? Or will they all be the same as they are not drippers? I was just thinking that as they use different coils some may work better than others, and whether anyone has had any experience with any of the listed tanks and if so what they had discovered.

If I use distilled water to dilute the mix will this have a substantial effect on the flavour/vape quality?

- Aspire iClear 30 - Never heard of it. ?? Innokin iClear30 will be BETTER with higher VG
- Aspire Nautilus Mini - No difference.
- Kanger EVOD - possibly worse... they can give dry hits with PG
- CE4 Style clearomiser - Hmm.. Not great if you chain vape... otherwise, fine. I have some 100% VG in a CE4 - it works!

Thanks very much for this, this is what I was looking for. And thanks for correcting me on the maker of the the iClear 30! :p

In my experience a little distilled water does not have any negative effect on vapor quality or flavor. It helps thin out the higher VG juices for a better vape experience.

Cool. I will definitely try this then and see how it works out :)

All I run in my Aspire mini is 40/60 never had a problem

This is good to know, as that ratio is very close to the ratio I will be trying.

Thanks all for the replies :D
