Yeah, not seeing any hate (or grammar issues? Unless it's my own, I have a tendency to scatter floating parentheses around, without closing them, for example) etc. Just trying to help you isolate the problem.

IDK if your batteries are genuine, and I suspect neither do you. I tend to approach all batteries (even if purchased from a vape shop) with a bleary and suspect eye, I buy only from Mooch approved vendors. If you want to more about batteries this is a good place to start, and there is a table listing all the batteries (tested) specs, etc. In the last cell, he lists manufacturer's known to sell authentic, approved batteries.

My question is, if a shop is willing to sell you a not so great charger, I'd be worried about the batteries (personally). It's really hard to spot rewraps, sometimes.

I have a nitecore intellecharger (2 bay) that charges rapidly and does a good job doing so. They do make larger chargers but if looking for speed, most nitecore charges are pretty speedy.

I do also wonder about your batteries being an issue, although it sounds like they do "okay" with USB charging, it's really not recommended, as the batteries don't always charge evenly.

I guess I would try a new charger first. If the batteries continue to have trouble charging at a decent speed, maybe look into replacing them. I wouldn't use them, personally, but I've been buying authentics (for far less than they sell them in vape shops) for some time now. I prefer to know, with batteries, that I am safe and etc.

New mod, new Samsung 18650's, new Avatar Digicharger. 36 hours to charge to 4.2 volts?
Never heard of this brand before. Probably cheap Chinese junk charger. 36 hours to charge three at .5 is very poor.

I suggest getting an Efest LUC V4 or Xtar VP4. The Efest can charge 4 batteries simultaneously at 1.0 amp. The Xtar can charge 2 at 1.0 amp, but 3 or more only at 0.5 amp.

I sure hope they are right. Bought from Totally Wicked retail shop. Do you think the batteries could be countrrfeit?
No way to tell, really. Counterfeiters are extremely good at what they do. What we recommend on this forum is to purchase from known reputable battery suppliers (list below).

36 hours sounds like a really long time to charge the batteries. What charger is it? Can you find who makes it or what its called. I have always used chargers that have the plug in the wall version and mine do not take anywhere near that amount of time. The R25's are good batteries as long as they are authentic and not rewraps. I think that is why another poster also suggested getting new ones from a reputable vendor like imrbatteries and there are a few others that fail to come to mind at the moment.

As it stands right now, I am thinking the charger is the problem. I would start first with just trying to fix one part of the problem, ie. charger and see how it performs. If they batteries still take that long to charge then new batteries are next on the list, altho like I said having back up batteries are a good thing, and samsung's are what about $4-5 dollars a piece?

Samsung 25R 18650 2500mAh 20A Battery

Here they are $4.50 and a 20 amp battery.

The battery charger I have is a 4 bay xtar VP4.

I am just throwing suggestions out there to give you an idea on where to start looking. I am by no means affiliated with the vendor(s) listed, just a reg user like everyone else.

:)
Charger is a avatar digicharger made by wismec. The batteries are brand new purchased from Totally Wicked as well as the gen3 mod all purchased at the same time. Thinking the charger was the issue they replaced the charger with a new one and still no change in charging time. I would assume the batteries are authentic they were purchased at a Totally Wicked retail shop

Thanks for your replies I appreciate your time. I for the most part trust my vape shop it's a Totally Wicked retail store. I've never had any issues with any purchases from them however it is extremely difficult to talk them into a refund and or exchange.

The Wismec brand is not above reproach and has been involved in their own scandals.

Well, in their defense the charger does WORK, it just works very slow. ;)

I recall that the Totally Wicked online stores had some sort of scandal a few years ago concerning the products they were selling, but I don't remember specifically what it was all about. I just made a mental note not to buy from them.

It is absolutely possible that the batteries are counterfeit or more likely damaged, I believe .04 ohms is below the specs on that device. Even if the batteries are genuine you can push them beyond their capabilities using too high wattage. Are you running in TC or wattage mod, if wattage how high?

I don't know Totally Wicked so I can't comment.... Other than to say I don't buy batteries from vape shops, period. There is really no way to know where they came from, etc.

Even if I *owned* a vape shop, I might still get my batteries from an authentic manufacturer. There are times even a vape shop may inadvertently get rewraps and etc. What I'm trying to say is, it's okay to trust your vape shop... With certain things. The amount of counterfeits and rewraps and seconds floating around (and you have to know that vape stores want to make a profit, too) and it's just not worth the risk.

It's definitely your charger at issue I just would recommend (if you aren't willing to do it now) to make your second battery purchase from a known vendor of authentics, like Illium, Lion's Wholesale or IMRbatteries.com. It's also probably going to be much cheaper, and the batteries arrive fast, IMRbatteries takes a whopping two days from where I am from order, to delivery.

Just got back from Totally Wicked retail store. That is where the purchase was originally made. They gave me three new batteries Samsung 25r X 3. Said to install them in my mod Vape them to zero and then recharge. Is this reliable information?

Efest LUC v4 chargers can do 1.0A charging across 4 bays or 2.0A across 2 bays.

You could also get more sets of batteries. One set charged and ready, one set charging and one set in the device.
Retail store tired of seeing me gave me 3 new batteries. Samsung 25r said to vape them 2-0 in mod and then recharge is that correct?

No this is not reliable info for Li-ion batteries.

Have not heard about any scandals with Totally Wicked however I have used their products for quite a long time off and on. They gave me three new Samsung 25r batteries today I guess because they were just tired of seeing me show up at their doorstep relentlessly asking why I am having these issues. So I was told to as I understand they are charged to 10% 4 shelf stability I was told to install them in my mod Vape them to 0 & recharge is that correct information?

I adjust the rear app or counterfeit issues with my vape store and they gave me three new batteries they told me to vape them to zero and then recharge them. As I understand they come charged to 10% from the factory just for holding purposes. Anxious to see what happens I'm afraid to use them at all need some information

Actually its not; they are misinformed. Lithium Ion batteries, unlike Nickle Cadium batteries, don't need to be run down before receiving a new charge because they have no "memory". You can charge them now before using them without any worry. --Battery University
