I found the USP Glycerin in the first aid skin protectant section in a Rite Aid. This is the VG everyone is talking about.

I'm glad you found it (VG aka Glycerin). Another alternative is to add drops of the 36 mg to your 18 mg to come up with around 24 mg or whatever feels right for you.

Ok so I just finished cutting my 36mg into somewhere between 20 and 24mg. I just got done cleaning my last cart left so I'm waiting on it to dry.

I was just wondering, while I was in wally world I went into the baking section and found Vanilla extract and Orange flavoring and stuff like that in little bottles...

now my newb question...

could those be added to the liquid to change the flavor or would those be dangerous or pointless to vape?

ok idk wtf just happened but i set the ecig down for an entire episode of Family Guy, picked it back up to try it again and now the vapor is awesome and I can kindof taste the menthol again.
Check out this excerpt about wicking from the thread linked in my signature...

Dry atomizers, flooded atomizers, and wicking
Basically, you want to keep your atomizer happy with plenty of juice, but not too much as to flood it.

A good sign that it's flooded is that it gets a little harder to draw on and you get little or no vapor.
Flooding it, however, won't hurt it at all, and you can just blow out the extra juice.

Letting it get too dry, on the other hand, is not good for the atomizer supposedly.
But regardless of whether it is bad for the atomizer or not, you still don't want to do it.

You can tell it is too dry when it starts to taste like crap.
A nasty sort of burnt plastic type of taste.

One reason it might get too dry is if you burn through the juice faster than it can wick up more.
That is why people experiment with different kinds of filler materials to use in their cartridges.

If you take only a drag or two every now and then, you should be fine.
But if you use these like a cigarette, the wicking process will have trouble keeping up.
There are ways to deal with this, and people have different methods that work better for them.

And of course, when the cartridge is running low on juice, it needs topping off for this reason.

I started vaping a couple of weeks ago and find the 24mg too weak for me - I like the 36mg but would like to vape higher nic amounts if it was safe. I have been a 3 pack a day smoker since I was 9 years old (and I'm currently 43). I immediately cut back from 3 packs daily to under 1 pack but I find myself wondering if I upped the nicotine mg in my vaping if it would enable me to cut the analong habit completely. I will say I have experienced no ill effects from the 36mg at all. It has got to be better for me than smoking 3 packs of analogs daily.

Your body will adjust and become accustomed to whatever level you are vaping (to a point). That said, everything is relative; if you smoked marlboro red for years and then switch to marlboro light - it's like smoking air. If you continued to smoke the lights, your body will adjust and you'll start getting that throat hit again. Smoking a red would blow your socks off after a while.
