DO NOT use vanilla flavoring from the grocery store!!!! It can contain vanillin witch is not vapable! Very bad to vape!!
Get some flavorings from purfumers apprentice or flavor art that are listed as safe for ecig use.
Check out the diy forum for lots of information on adding flavorings, some of them are not safe to vape.

Tasty Vapor sells 48mg (in every flavor I think). You're not going to hurt yourself vaping it. You might get the runs, headache, etc. You might want to take a bit more care when getting it on yourself as nicotine is absorbed through the skin much more efficiently than when it's vaped. So maybe wash your hands when you get it on your fingers.

I vape 36mg most of the time. If I chain vape for a long period of time I get the same way as when I used to smoke too many cigarettes in too short of a time. I get it all over my fingers with some frequency as well (without bothering to wash my hands right away afterwards) and haven't noticed any effect from that.

just tried my 1st batch of 36MG...quite a strong throat hit...

i was a heavy smoker and am satisfied with 24MG...think i'll keep the 36MG around for when I've had a few beers and need a full flavored hit...

but to answer the question if it's harmful...i basically chain vape...have been sucking on 36MG all evening...no ill effects...

I've been vaping 24mg and I feel like I need more. So I ordered a bunch of 36mg. I'll let you know the difference when I receive my shipment.
I've never been a chain smoker. I smoked Marlboro 100's and would smoke half and then about half hour to an hour later smoke the other half. That's also pretty much how I vape, so I think the 36mg will do the trick for me.

Finding your sweet spot for mg, throat hit, vapour production etc. is similar to finding the g spot. Unless you're abnormally lucky, it takes trial and error and practice. And it's not the same for everyone. And, like the g spot, if it hurts, you're doing it wrong (or right, in some cases.. lol). You'll know though when you've found it. My advice would be to pay attention as you go and note what does/does not work. because when it does work, you'll want to be able to reproduce it over and over again.

In response to the OP, I think you've gone too high. Where you were or somewhere in between is probably best. Listen to your body, it knows better than anyone else here.

Think of e-liquid kind of how you would think of alcohol...

Some people can drink 7 shots and have a good time, other people can drink 6 shots and wake up the next day naked in a ditch covered in their own vomit.

If you're experiencing negative effects from the amount you're ingesting, you should probably ingest less.

Totally agree, and would probably extend it to types of alcohol as well as amounts. My good mg, perfect level is beer, even many of them, my too much is whiskey straight, from one to many of them. If I'm happy and sociable it's beer, if I'm ready to fight my boss dressed in my underwear, whiskey is involved, lol.

Has anyone tried to vape on a higher nicotine content than 36mg, and if so, what kind of experience have you had as a result?

Yes. 2 or 3 weeks into vaping I was still smoking a pack-a-week (way down from 2 packs per day). I was chain vaping mostly 30 mg/ml with occasionally some at 36. I wasn't experiencing any withdrawal discomfort (I had decided beforehand to simply smoke when I wanted to smoke and vape when I wanted to vape), but neither was I feeling anything like nicotine od symptoms, so I decided to up the dose and see what happened with those last 2 or 3 cigs-per-day.

I tracked down some 48 and 60 mg/ml juice and started alternating a cart of 48 with a cart of 60. About 2 weeks of that and I was down to 1 cig every 2 or 3 days, and again, experiencing neither withdrawal nor nic od symptoms. The last time I thought I might actually enjoy a smoke was just after Thanksgiving dinner, about 2 months after my first vape, but I decided to pass on it (which surprised my wife, daughter and BIL), and I was done with smoking (which I didn't realize at the time).

Eventually (can't remember the exact timing, but not long) I realized I didn't need the 60 mg juice, and with the occasional nic-reduction experiment, I am now comfortable at the 32 mg/ml level. I will attempt to go lower in the future but, with the exception of a possible FDA ban, I'm not feeling any pressure to rush things.

I might have gotten to the same point without going to the hi-nic stuff, but OTOH if I hadn't tried it I might still be smoking 2 or 3 cigs a day. (And I must say - even If I had never gotten below a pack-per-week, vaping would still be a winning proposition for me.)

Good Luck & Keep On Vapin'
