I just got a used Provari in the mail and popped in my fully charged Panasonic CGR18650CH batteries and nothing is happening. I am really wondering what the issue could be. Does anyone have any insight? The only thing I can think of is the connection is a little dirty. I tried cleaning it with iso but it doesn't seem to get all of whatever is on there off. Should I try a fiberglass tipped pen if I can get a hold of one? Im kinda bummed and any/all help would be great.

yeah nothing happens when the batteries are put in and i hit the button 5 times. I just got my Sysmax I4 Intellicharger and found that my friend's trustfire charger which the other day said my batteries were fully charged was lying. They were only around 1/3 bars charged and I doubt taht could be the issue but I am going to fully charge them and run to Radio Shack and grab a cleaning pen. The guy i bought it from was using it before me so I don't know if it's an issue with the batteries or the unit (though I read that these batteries have worked well for others) they were purchased as button tops for my Vamo that i just sold. AHHHHH im so bummed.
Take a long cotton swab and clean the battery contact in there then try new batteries and a different 510 atomizer/cartomizer. One of my provaris has been through hell and has never stopped working. Worst case, contact Provape for repair, or sell it to me for cheap and I will 
would a picture of the batteries help? I don't understand if the guy I got it from had it working and I can't unless it's the battery issue and not the contact. I mean the contact is fairly not clean haha. I have tried cleaning with iso and a q tip, it's not getting shiny. Will the fiberglass tipped pen be better for me? I just tried again with a freshly charged battery and i got nothing.

well here's an update. I got super fed up with this, bought a $8 fiberglass tipped pen and tried cleaning it. STILL not working. Since this setup came with 2 extension caps, I just said ....... it and bought another Provari off Provapes website (silver v2 blem with 2 aw IMR batteries). Gosh this has been a .... two days, first I got tracking info saying the Provari was delivered to a town 1 hour away from me, so I had a panic attack yesterday at work (literally) and freaked out, got it today and not it won't turn on. Really pretty bummed. Here are the pics of the batteries im using.
This could be anything from dirty contacts to an unconnected circuit or blown atty, wrong batt type or you're just putting them wrong side in.
I would try everything without "messing" with it too much and contact ProVape ASAP so you don't loose warranty coverage or something.

If 5 clicks won't get you to the menu, and 10 clicks won't turn it back on from an off setting, then either the ProVari is defective, or your batteries aren't making contact.

I'm no expert, but the nipples on those batteries seem kind of short. I would definitely try the AWs when they come in.
yup im the person with the non working panny...
i had to take a small pin and redimple the top on one of them, just stuck it in the side hole and bent the top up just a touch. the battery casing is too fat and recesses the button too much on some of them once i did this it worked and is still working 3 months later no problem.
rtdvapor usually has the aw's for sale.

I am guessing since the previous owner was using it before me with AW IMR batteries, that it is the batteries. I looked closer at the contact and though dirty it's not as bad as i thought (after looking with LED light). I guess for now I will wait until my second (new/blem) Provari comes (with 2 AW IMR 18650's). If those don't work I will send it to Provape or just sell it on the classifieds. I really am thinking it is the batteries. Though "nipple" tops they barley stick out past the top of the battery and I was looking at the AW IMR batteries and they seem to stick out futher. still a sad face
If the batteries are charged, you should be able to read 4.0v or better using your voltmeter. If they are 3.2v or less (dead to a Provari) I'd think they would at least flash the LED in the fire button when you install them.
I just looked at my AW 18650's and the nipple sticks up from the battery casing about the thickness of a paper match when I view it from the side angle, if that helps in your comparison. I also checked the center contact on my Provari. The center contact is slightly recessed in a notch in the circuit board. If your battery nipple doesn't stick up enough above the outer casing of the battery, you won't make contact. The outer ring of the battery casing will hold it off.

thanks Dave! I just checked and these batteries nipple I don't even think sticks out past the top of the battery. Though they have a nipple it's almost the same as it being a complete flat top. It seems like that is probably the issue. So my plan will be to wait until the new Provari and batteries get here, if they work in it, I will know it's the batteries, if not it's the unit and I will send it in to Provape. Man oh man life is testing my patience these last few days.

I know I couldnt wait, if it were my battery I would pry that + nipple up or put a drop of solder on it.
I would be up all night trying something until I saw that provari wake up.
