Hey guys!

So I need some advice... again.

The short story is I broke an ego c-twist and two ego VV 1000mA batteries, went through a kanger T3 and a splitfire.

I'm done messing with the inexpensive, low voltage batteries. I am considering a provari, or something similar but I have no idea what the difference is between the thousands of stuff named HYPER PRO 2563 VERSION 1.4 QUANTUM WRATHSTALKER XIV.

It seems like there are hundreds and hundreds of batteries and tanks now and more are being developed by minute.

What I do know is I want something high voltage, stainless mesh wick, durable and preferably between $80-$120 dollars for the entire setup. That seems possible, but I'm not sure anymore. Every time I think I learn something about vaping I find out how wrong I am.

I have heard that clones are terrible because of not being American made, but are far less expensive. Some people swear by clones, some will pay top dollar no matter whether the product is actually worth it or not. I hear provari is the absolute best in overall build quality, customer service and performance.

I would like to avoid spending $160 on just a battery and having to take an electronics course to build a tank/clearo setup because as my 2 broken VV batteries have shown me, I suck at soldering.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

the provari will last a lifetime , if your tired of buying stuff that dont hold up then bite the bullet , or keep spending till it finally hits you like a ton of bricks "man with all the money ive spent i could have had a provari....uuuugggghhhhh"

First I gotta ask: How is your existing stuff getting killed off? Some people are easier on their gear than other people. If there's something going on that keeps leading you to the land of broken toys we need to know that before suggesting stuff. Are you hard on your gear or was there something else going on?

Yeah! Like Rick said above, May be you just need a lanyard for you ego? Or you need a tank like system. Still sounds like you need an excuse to spend some cash!

It won't be that simple.

I started with EGO's and now on VAMO. All of them are doing good. I'm nice to my stuff!

There's all sorts of complicating factors - we need to know more. A Provari might be considered indestructible. But if you mount tanks on it and are the sort who drops their PV's a lot, nothing is going to save the 510 threading. If that's true, a bottom feeder might be a better choice - no heavy tank attached to get banged around during a fall. Stuff like that.

You know it's pretty hard to outright break a mechanical mod.

But i do use a vamo v3 and vivi nova with an aluminum tank sometimes for out on the go. I trust the vivi's to not break or spill in my pocket and they hold about a days worth of liquid for me. Actually I'm looking at getting this new vivi style tank from fasttech thats all metal but thats besides the point.

I use a mechanical with an aga t2 genesis, and smoktech rsst. Both are relatively cheap genesis attys and preform admirably. I just don't trust their durability enough to take them on the go. You could get a cheap mechanical and both attys for about 70 bucks, otherwise vamo with batteries and charger from fasttech is about 50 bucks and well worth it for variable voltage/wattage.

My c twist broke when I dropped it. The kanger withstood the drop, but the interior electronics did not. One of my ego VV batteries died when I sat on the damn thing because I forgot it was in my pocket and the other died when my roommate didnt see it in the cup holder and pulled his bag out of the car wrenching the tank from the battery.

I like the way they performed, but I didn't love it, ya know? I feel like if I had something that was a bit more sturdy and not just a flimsy tube holding the tank by pressure (by that I mean the thread housing on a ego battery is just pushed into the tube and not screwed in, or actually being a part of the battery housing) I would be less prone to sitting on it or the wiring coming dislodged.

I can't complain too much as I paid less than 20 bucks per battery, but as Willie said I could have spent that cash on a provari instead of battery after battery. I think that has something to do with my clumsyness as well. If I had 100+ invested in a vape device I (hope) I would be more careful with the thing Or at least be more aware of it.

I really dig the look of the evic, but then again I am a sucker for futuristic looking devices. I'd love to get something like a Foggatti but a 158.17+ shipping for just an atomizer is a tad out of my price range since I'd rather spend about that total. Is there anything comparable to a Foggatti with steel mesh and stuff that isn't hyper expensive?

The reason I'm so big on the mesh is the nylon rope based clearos I've had the rope sometimes gets frayed and can be a pain in the .... to replace, and it seems like the mesh can withstand higher heat and seems easier to deal with in general.

EDIT: Ok so I did a bit of searching and I better understand now what it is I am looking for.

I want a rebuildable. The foggatti Is just the first one I saw and the best way I could think of to describe what it is I am looking for. I saw a review on the Hellfire Mini and that thing looks outstanding, but again, it's 145 bucks not to mention having to be on a list of people waiting to get one.

Ideally I would like to find a nice RBA/Battery combo that fits nicely together to satisfy my obsessive compulsive personality. I'd like to get a slightly larger RBA (meaning larger than a 2ml tank) and minimalistic looking. Basically the closest I can get to the look and performance of a hellfire, without dropping 300 on the whole setup.

I feel like I am asking a lot, but I just want to know what my reasonable options are considering what I'm looking for.
