Wes, I'm terribly sorry to hear that your going through that. I may well be in the same boat with my sweet Lucy. She's 14 and has been the absolutely sweetest cat I've ever had (and I've had quite a few in my 30+ years of cat ownership!). She's been displaying some problems and been back and forth to the vet for almost two weeks. Heartbreaking to see animals (especially the exceptionally sweet ones) age and losing their health. Bless you all, hang in there buddy and don't let the "good memories" be the ones that hurt you!![]()
It gets hard to watch sometimes. If the pet hangs on (like ours did), it puts you in a really awkward position after a while. I will never feel like we made the right choice. We just made the only choice. And it hurts.
Tough announcement. We lost our cat of almost 15 years today. It was impossibly hard watching him these past couple of weeks as he lost weight, stopped eating and drinking and became nearly comatose. Finally, we made the decision to end his agony.
I bring this here because I consider you all friends, and we're hurting in this house. But more to the point, I bring it here, because not only did I not smoke, I wasn't even tempted. During this tragedy, one amazing success has been pointed out: these life saving devices.
Thanks for listening to me.
Good afternoon Evie! Soooo... did ya bring the Nemie to work???
Sorry for your loss Wes. We lost 2 furry friends in the last 5 years and it's tough. I was crying like a baby when the doc put the needle in on Bogie our 17 year old cat.
I hope this helps:
