And mexican food :)

Ahhh Cinco De Mayo, the day that celebrates the Mexican victory over over the superior French army at the Battle of Puebla.

Nevermind mind that the loss led to the French sending a 30,000 thousand more troops to occupy Mexico, install their own emperor onto the throne, and rule Mexico for 3 years before realizing "hey, we're in Mexico!...why?!?" and then leaving to invade Prussia where Montezuma's revenge runs far less rampant. It's still cause to celebrate, because there is booze involved. And that's the important thing.

Booze.

Bless their hearts. That ain't real sweet tea though. Anything that comes from a bag and is mixed with water ain't real sweet tea. Come on down to the Carolina's and find a Bojangles. If that don't work I'll get old school and brew some up on the stovetop.

yes I know it aint "real" sweet tea, but consider it a gateway tea... to get more people to join the sweet tea thing.

myself... I dont like my tea sweet, nor honeyed, nor any of it, i want plain old bitter iced tea :)

just like my heart...bitter :)

ofc my heart is also an indication of how i like my coffee.... black and bitter :D

But now I have a reason to drink on the Fifth of May!! And will raise a glass to your DAY!!!!!

Enjoy, Joan!!!

or.....i may go here!

a friend refuses to eat white meat chicken, he just doesn't believe it can be good. He got the chicken enchiladas one day from this place, and he was almost in tears becuz it was so delishus. i think there was a Celine Dion song playing overhead too.

it's all fancy, and for some reason there's a giant plastic rocketship like thing out front, i dunno what theme they're going for. but the food is awsum.

it's not easy keeping my gurlish figure working downtown Austin.

One Friday a month a big group of us will go to this place to get a pork chop for $11.99. it's a loin tip, 3 ribs, and a center cut the size of my fat head!

Nah, I started messing with my guitar. I finally pulled it out and set everything up. It has been about 3 years since I touched it. (Mind out of the gutter folks.) It needs a set up and cleaning something awful.

Then my wife came in the room and laid across the bed. She asked for a foot rub. I never turn those down because it usually doesn't end with feet getting rubbed. (Mind back in the gutters now.)

My hubby is away on a job right now. Sent me a birthday note and told me to look up this guy.....Raul Midon ...... that is who he is working for. Said this is first time he was up on a tower being serenaded and the guy plays great.

Having a plethora of dining options is great, unless you're a flavor chaser. Man, when I was in Raleigh I think I hit four places in less than a day. I had pizza made by an Italian from NYC, Hot Dogs, gyro's made by a Lebanese guy, and sushi made by two japanese imigrants. It was awesome, but my wallet hated me and I was so stuffed I could barely breath for two days. lol

You're into good Mexican food? (I remember you aren't too keen on italian)
I've had good eats at Jose Tejas on Route 46 in Fairfield, NJ.

(prolly not as good as wheez's hangouts...)

One of my friends is a retired NYPD detective. He can tell you the name and location of every good eatery in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. I took him to one of our lowend Mexican joints and he was blown away. He swore up and down that there was nothing that good in the city. I took him to my favorite spot and now they know him by name.
