Thanks Angi! Dear DIL is trying to get me to join her in running a half marathon in June. She's always getting these 'bright ideas'. Like last week she went to some salon and walked out with blue hair. Not old lady blue, more like Chicken of the Sea mermaid blue , cuz ya know, these young people want to be different just like everybody else

Running a half marathon? Too much for me. I'll run a pool team, or a poker game. Even a super bowl pool.

I brought my car in to be worked on, these auto mechanics have some racket alwyas on break and charging for labor.

I haven't found a really good mechanic yet. Usually lacking in skill or diagnosis. but their math is superb! Able to total a bill in no time!

I'm so glad I do most of the work myself. I curse it in winter, but I have saved thousands.

I had a mechanic reset my "service engine" light by removing the bulb. Then would not refund me the $10 he charged when I called him on it.

Tools and parts found in the engine bay. Overdrive unplugged cause, "I couldn't find the problem, and you don't need overdrive anyway."

My step daughter had an oil change done. Cheap filter that totally collapsed and the wrong oil. Totaled the car.

And shame to any of you who go to a fast oil change chain! The "techs" are low paid wannabe mechanics.
