I'm sure you know that the analogs contain tons of chemicals but here a just a few:

-Acetone: used in nail-polish remover and paint stripper
-Acrolein: Extremely toxic substance used to produce acrylic acid. It is considered a possible human carcinogen and is the cause of emphysema
-Arsenic: Deadly poison, found in rat poison
-Benzene: found in pesticides and gasoline. It is found in high levels in cigarette smoke. Can cause drowsiness, dizziness, rapid heart rate, headaches and unconsciousness. Associated with leukemia.
-Cadmium: Toxic heavy metal used in car batteries.
-Carbon Monoxide: a gas that replaces oxygen in the body. Found in car exhaust fumes.
-DDT: Pesticide used to kill insects
-Formaldehyde: Used for preserving dead bodies. Known to cause cancer along with gastrointestinal, respiratory and skin problems.
-Hydrogen Cyanide: Used to kill people in gas chambers executions.
-Tar: used to tarmac roads. It is the collective term describing toxins produced by smoking cigarettes. It coats the lungs much like soot from logs coats chimneys.
-Vinyl Chloride: Used to make vinyl products. Short-term exposure causes dizziness, fatigue and headaches. Long-term exposure can lead to cancer and liver damage.

cool post, and I would like to add:

Radon

and

Polonium-210 to that list.

Yep, radioactive crap.

As far as I understand it (and im no geenius) the main thing in cig smoke is some stuff called Benzo |a| Pyrene. It aint good for you, either.

John,
You said,
"At first I had a twist with a clearomizer, I wish I could go back."
Do you still have them?

There are some days I put the Mod down, and just go back to my VV ego/Evod BCC clearo and use that for the day.
Seams to work, with switching out clearos throught the day.

The twist is gone, and I have been thinking I don't want to spend $ on another one. I might buy one on the way home today.
So, out of these posts I get; Keep a device and a flavor for work, one set for the house, and another when I'm out and about.
I think I have a plan.

I was a 40 year very heavy smoker. The 2-4 month period was really hard for me for a few reasons.

1. My senses of taste and smell were changing. Sometimes everything tasted bad, sometimes good, sometime blah. I was still in my tobacco only stage and ordered 50+ different juices until I gave up and found fruits were more satisfying for me.

2. My needs for nicotine were changing. The 24mg that I started with was knocking me for a loop. Caffeine and sugar were also affecting me. I had to cut the nic levels and go to more decaf coffee.

3. My equipment was just not good enough. I started to get bigger batteries and different delivery devices...turning it into more of a hobby I guess.

4. I don't know about others, but that period was probably when I was getting over the withdrawal symptoms, so my whole body and mental faculties were out of whack.

I think it wasn't until about 6 months in that I started to level into some form of normalcy. By then I had found some juices, equipment, and the right nic levels.

well thank you but I would respectfully disagree. This is my first day using ECF. The post is about frustrations and I too am a little frustrated and thought I would comment (by the way my first comment ever) and your response... was... to say the least... kinda crappy.

Sorry your so sensitive to my post. It was not meant as an attack. But the post, I believe, is about this persons struggle to get a satisfying nicotine replacement for cigarettes, not about equipment failure. There are other posts and threads about such a problem and I don't think it's helpful.

Threads are somewhat specific and as you can see, if you read most of the posts, they tend to go off the path of the original question.

Im in the same boat. What the Hell? I spend hours looking but can't pull the trigger. I think I like the VV but the c-twist i just purchased failed with a 4 foot drop on to a carpeted floor. The c-twist VV adjustment was lose and felt like poor craftsmanship So spent dat today looking at a "Spinner". The hard time I have is deciding where to buy - local shops pricing is all over the board and feeling like I getting cheap crap. I'm and old guy and like seeing, touching before I buy. I could go on and will on my own posts but look forward to seeing replays to yours

I have bought a good twist and I have bought a few cheap twists. I do not find much difference. I just ordered 3 cheap from Fasttech so I would not be without one. The cost of three was comparable to the cost of one expensive one. I am pretty sure the ones I ordered from Fastech are the same as the one I ordered from a Vap Shop and paid 2x's as much for. I figure if they last a few months I have not spend much (less than a carton of cigs)

OK... Let me take a crack at it.
I, too was getting burned-out, almost bored at about the same time you mention. For me, the next big "WOW" factor was getting away from the "Usual" liquids and began diving into true tobacco flavors. I CANNOT get enough of Naturally Extracted Tobacco's, especially aromatic pipe blends... I think I vape more for the aroma than the nicotine these days.
Have you become bored with the flavor experience perhaps?
What do you usually vape? is it fruit, dessert, tobacco?

Give ma an idea of where you buy your juice and what it is called. I like your suggestion and think it is the answer for me.

I think the thread is about satisfaction dwindling as the title implies. Be it in the juice, the equipment or the act of vaping itself.

Somewhere on top of the world
I think your biggest 2 problems are

1. Not just satisfying, but enjoyable juices that make you crave your next vape.

2. Device "boredom"

I have has some of the same problems, and other problems too but for me this is what I did to get through it and even more, make it enjoyable again.

When I get to a point of device boredom which has been happening to me lately more than ever, I go and buy a disposable. It replaces the feel of an analog that I LOVED when I smoked. The oral fixation of holding it between my fingers, holding it in my mouth and an e-cig that actually looks like a real cig just makes me happy sometimes. I have WAY too many mods to mention but it doesn't matter how many or what they are sometimes. Sometimes it's just being able to relate to the old habit.

2. You have to really like your juice, not just be satisfied with it. You have to enjoy the inhale/exhale completely, all the flavor notes, and aftertaste. Try ordering sample packs from different vendors, and if that doesn't help, jump in to DIY and make what you like.

I hope this helps you on your journey, but go and buy a disposable and see if any of this makes sense afterwards..

Op sounds like you need more throat hit and a more realistic tobacco. Are you buying juice and where and what. I hear myfreedomsmoke nic has a strong throat hit. Hangsen tobacco flavors are good. As well as others. I think it may be time for you to get into diy. Hangsen is te easiest IMO. You have the equipment you need just need good juice and some good micro coils.

Hi all, I thought a follow up post was in order as this little thread really helped me out. I'm not sure which post had the most meaning, perhaps it was similar to a support group for me.
First I should say that having a cig was not even on the radar, things were not as bad as that.
I'm felling pretty good about vaping this holiday weekend, since my original post I have been concentrating on the flavor of my favorite juices. Taking the gear I have and dialing it in filled the gearhound side of things. I have some decent stuff so I figure I should make use of it. I realize I have been cloudchasing a bit at the expense of flavor, I started off loving the juices and the feel, focusing on that is back.

Thanks for the nudge you've gotten me back on course.

I'm at the same place but due to Juices often finding one really tasty and 3 days later taste buds change and it doesn't taste the same but i won't stop and won't quit :D
As others have said think that finding a juice that you really like will be a big bonus, maybe getting a load of 1ml testers and seeing th ones that take you to that special place :)

I don't think it's nicotine at all, the 12mg didn't seem to help the cause.
It's hard to explain, but I keep switching from device to device, hoping that I will love one more.
The wife is calling it OCD, and I'm actually getting pretty tired of tinkering.
At first I had a twist with a clearomizer, I wish I could go back.

You want the release of dopamine's from getting new gear. It's the same thing that drives fanatical shoppers. You need to break the "OMG NEW" habit, and develop a "hello, old friend" habit with what you have.

4 months without tobacco and no interest in it for sure. I'm so stoked on that.
However, I am starting to struggle with vaping, it seems like nothing is satisfying right now.
I have the Carto tank, the protank, the Igo-w dual coil, the single coil RDA, and different mods for all of them. I tried upping the nicotine. but dripping 12mg didn't work out for me.

So have any of you been there, and what's next? Should I start throwing more money at this or just hold steady? Any thoughts. I keep finding myself shopping, but not buying.

I've been dealing with the same issue. But the main difference with me is that I have been craving tobacco...and given in to it but "just for my birthday" which I know is a slippery slope. The desire to get pass the analogs is still strong, I keep looking for the "right" flavor or set up to deal with the cravings. So I give myself credit for still trying esp. because three months ago I couldn't see myself going a single day without smoking.
