Hi everyone! I've now been analog-free for 4 weeks. Began vaping the day after Thanksgiving, but did still smoke for awhile. I can't believe it really...my last cig was early morning on New Year's Day....

Most people are very supportive, but sometimes the ones who aren't get to me. Was out with a group last night and the one lady said she's been smoke free for 3 and 1/2 years, but when another lady lit a cig, she remarked how good it smelled and she would like to have one, but wouldn't. I was vaping, and the comment she made to me is that "vaping is no good for you either". I politely explained that if I didn't vape I would be smoking. I also don't want to "want" a cig 3 years from now.

I won't be one of those ex-smokers who condemns people for smoking.

If you've read this far, thanks! This is one place I know people understand!

Yay! Congratulations! Well done. Just over a week for me, but I'm pretty sure I won't be smoking again.

In the end, it's all about not smoking cigarettes. No matter the way it's done, or people's beliefs. No smoking is no smoking, and should be celebrated. Keep it up! :)

Congrats!

You are in the clear now. As you likely know, the first few weeks of not smoking really sucks. After a month, there is no reason to go back.

I am 2.5 months in and the thought of smoking disgusts me. My wife still smokes as do a bunch of my friends/co-workers and I will never be that vocal anti-smoking "guy". To each their own, but I am estatic that vaping saved me from smoking.

Was wondering if smoker expressed any interest in your rig and/or vaping?

Well, the smoker is one of my best friends...she asked about it when I first got it. I've offered her to try it, but she doesn't think she will like fruit juices. I would never try to tell her to quit, but I do tell the difference vaping has made.

When I first cut back hugely she asked more about it. Now, I think she's formed the opinion that it's just as bad for you. She also remarked to someone last night that she told her kids (they are grown) that she wouldn't quit so there'd be some money left for them in the social security fund

Sometimes it's just better if I don't say anything...its not worth a friendship...

Thanks everyone! This is the first time I have ever "quit" and don't think constantly about my next cig.

Vaping, FTW!
Congrats on the journey Stacey! I was in somewhat of a shock the first two weeks without a cig, just couldn't believe it was so easy. I just recently got a year in without a cig and the time will fly as you vape. Everything in my life improved with vape. :)
