i have rda that i use on my provari
im ready to get a mech
i understand ohms law watt amp etc
have a couple question maybe someone here can help as ive searched and had no real luck finding answers
the all ss version 4nine mod from fast tech..ive heard button top are recommended and dont plan to go super
sub ohm maybe around .3-.4 idk what batteries would you suggest?
also interested in a simplicity 18500 from super t manufacturing but im curious on battery life compared to the
18350s im using now..with a .5 ohm coil on a 185 batt what kind of life should i expect? worse/better? compared
to a 1.4-1.6ohm coil at 5ish volts on the provari
any help would be greatly appreciated :)

First, don't kid yourself, .3-.4 is super sub ohm, you need high discharge batteries and you need to know what you are doing. Check the battery chart here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-discussion-safety-battery-info-warnings.html Gives you amperage and "safe" ohm ratings for different batteries, and other really good info.

They don't make a hi amp 18490/18500 battery. AW IMR 18490 1100mAh is probably your best bet, and it is rated up to 8.8 amps. At .5 ohms you are going to be pulling 8.4 amps, so it's going to drain in no time, I'm guessing 30-45 minutes. That's also closer than I'd ever want to push a battery, even a reliable one like an AW.

im not a newb to rebuildables i understand ohms laws
i guess i havent dug enough
it seems the aw is 8c or 15c i only saw before your post the 15c rating (16.5amp continuous)
guess ill dig some more..ty imsoenthused
so i am going to pass on the 185xx i guess..
what atty are you using on your 4nine from ft that wont autofire and the post is long enough to make contact?

In all Honesty the 4nine i bought from fastech i am saving for spare parts it was a piece of garbage right out of the box. I bought two 4niner mods from 26650 4Nine Mod Clone in Stainless, Brass or Copper a 18650 and a 26650 and i have to say they are the best mods i own and i have at least 10 others if not more including originals. I am using the tobh clones on them and the vape is amazing.

Also did not mean to offend you if i did safety always first.

I just got a 4nine infinite from eciggity, its ok but took me a while to get it right. I have 2 sony's and for some reason one seems to be taller than the other, one works with the magnet on top but the other fires once i put it all together, i have to put the magnet on the little round piece that you put on the bottom of the battery. Either way the throw is ridiculously short but it works, if i dont use the extra magnet i can get it to fire but its not workable. Is this normal?

place the bottom switch in make sure the magnet is opposing force to the switch [pushing away from each other] this will create a space and it works great.

I love my 4nine lol I got the clone from ft. Yea button top batteries are kinda needed. But I fixed that problem by adding a 2mm magnet to the top of my 18650 sonys.(along with the spare magnet it came with). No wobbles and the throw is super short without chance of autofiring
I need to point out that placing magnets on flat top batteries is poor battery practice and not adviseable. Should you accidentally drop your mod, the magnet could become displaced and short out the battery causing it to go into thermal runaway. Use the appropriate battery for the application or don't use it at all.

The Orbtronic SX30 is a button top 18650 IMR/hybrid with 30 amps continuous and 2100mAh.

Alternatively, the Orbtronic SX22 is another IMR/hybrid 18650 button top with 22 amp continuous with 2000mAh.

Both batteries are made by Panasonic for Orbtronic.

FYI, the AW 18490 IMR 1100mAh battery is rated for 15C, so if you do the math that works out to 16.8 amps continuous. References:
CPFMarketplace
What does a battery's C Rating mean?

You could run the AW 18490 around 0.5 ohms, but battery life will suck. If you are going to do that low of resistance, use an 18650 high amp battery.

Both of my tobh's have positive pins that stick out at least a mm. They won't adjust in any farther either... Lol. I'm looking at the 4nine for this reason. I'm having a hell of time trying to figure out who has the best clone (US preferred). Good luck!!

If you want a 4nine i would highly recommend looking for a site that carries the Vapetech version.

The reason that magnets are needed in the infinite clone is because the mod is longer than the 49mm that it should be. In the authentic the tubes are perfectly sized to the batteries.

I just received a Vapetech clone from https://www.vapingwalrus.com/ and it's a perfect 1:1 as far as size goes, I use flat tops with no problems.

Been hearing that the 4-9 mods are fussy...
consider the SS Panzer and do a 18650 VTC4 in it you will be happier :)

if you want a mod twice the size and weight. Also need adjustable pins on your atty's with it.

4 nine is nice when working, never tried the clone though. my friends real one just developed a bad hot button issue he cant figure out and his top cap stripped out and needed to be replaced. when it works it hits great

Then it depends on the accuracy of what you're using to measure resistance and if your battery is a fake or authentic vtc5?

Fake - no way to tell how low 1.0+ ohm
Authentic - I'll never recommend anything under .35 due to unknown ohm / dvom inaccuracies.

If you've already had trouble go with .8 or above until you figure out what went wrong.
