Day 8

Today we have crossed the 60th parallel. Jenkins is suffering from frostbite and Mallory seems to exhibit the first signs of ice madness. I have sincere fear of our trek across this frozen landscape.

Lichtenstein has been accused of eating more than his share of rations, food already seems scarce and we have such a long way yet to go. He denies it, but he seems to be the only of actually gaining weight despite the nature of our endeavor. Collins and Mathews grow angrier each passing day at the situation, I do not know if will be able to keep something truly monstrous from happening over the next few days if sanity does not yet return.

The dog team is weary, we have been pushing them far too hard this early in the trek, and with dwindling supplies to boot. Just before we broke for camp, we discovered the supply sled had serious damage on both rails. We are poorly equipped to make repairs, both physically and mentally.

I understood this journey would test all of us as explorers, but i had no idea the true trials we would face. Each latitude seems to be gained only at greater and greater cost, and i fear we have passed the point of no return.

I also realize, that I may have grabbed the wrong journal to update....darn yous sobriety!!!

Been gone a little while. Moving and staying busy. Wheezal, you are cracking me up :)

I took a blow when my Reactor battery went nuclear on me. And I was not sure what I wanted to do for a couple weeks. After a little reading, I discovered that the istick 50’s are not the most super reliable battery out there. Certainly there are some good ones….. no doubt. But mine fell into the other category.

Luckily for me, I had a Tracer battery to use while I researched. That is a nice little unit. Works very well.

I ended up with a SBody Macro to pair with my existing Halo Reactor tanks. They fit and function very well together. Also through some research, I was reassured that the Reactor Tank is one of the best tanks out there. So that’s awesome. I know I am happy with them.

Glad to see everyone is doing well :)

Morning kids! TGIF AND it's supposed to be a warm weekend! SQUUUEEEEEEEEE!!!
Good Morning AngiBe, Fran and all Halons.
Yea, mid 50s for Saturday. A chance to fix an iffy speaker wire in the car, maybe even fire up the grill...

For a short week, this one seems to be tedious. Oh, time to get back and start this stupid work thang.

5:00, we need you!!!!! :vapor:

Beautiful Central Florida
Hello, hello, hello! Studying pharmacology and listening to Kasey Kasem's American Top 40 from 2/18/1978 on Sirius FM 70s on 7. Just heard Little Rive Band so I HAD to come in and say hello!

Hang in there Wheez ... You know buddy, I hope you make your living writing because if you do not, you sure missed your calling! I am now on a medication that does not allow for the occasional cocktail even. Really sucks when you really want/need one to not be able. Well, guess I could if I want some silly life-threatening condition where my muscles (including heart muscle) shut down. Stupid non-hallucinogenic, non-narcotic medications!

School is going well but it is a CRAZY semester! I am carrying a full load of pharmacology, pathophysiology, health care policy and legal/ethical issues in medicine. I am staying super busy but am relatively certain I will be home in Florida very soon. Plan on heading home on spring break. God how I miss the sun and sand!

The Mama has nearly driven me insane (wait, don't say it) and I find myself vamping copious milliliters a day now ... BUT NO TOBACCO!

I miss you all and wish I had more time to hang out and wait on everyone. You will ALWAYS have a very special place in my heart and I ditto Psyc's sentiments. CONGRATS PSYC! :pervy::thumb:
