My 18650 batteries are due for replacement so I went to Amazon to see what they are selling.
This is one of the many links I found for 5,000 milliamp 18650 lithium batteries:
Amazon.com: MicroMall 4Pcs 3.7V 18650 5000mah Rechargeable Lithium Battery: Electronics

I spent some time reading the Amazon customer reviews and it seems like some people are buying this kind of stuff for their vaporizers. I was especially fond of this one. It went something like this.

They almost burn't down my mattress and my house, almost killed me. Otherwise they worked well.

I also read one where the guy thinks it is good battery for his mech mod.

Is this how people usually buy lithium batteries?

I buy lithium batteries from authorized resellers like RTD Vapor or Orbtronics. I would never purchase batteries on eBay or Amazon, particularly if I had never heard of them (I've never heard of MicroMall - I would avoid them like the plague).
Actually I buy my batteries from Orbitronics.

The reason I put this post up was the 5200mAH rating. I thougth that was a farce. Am i wrong or is such a thing as a 5200mAH 18650 battery?

This is why the "Ecig Explodes" stories are in the media with the so called victim blaming everyone but him or her self.

From that Amazon Page...

Question:
who is the manufacture? Has anyone verified this outrageous & imposible claim of 5000mAh?

Answer:
The registered manufacturer is Ultrafire.
And you are correct insofar as outrageous and impossible.
I don't possess test equipment so, all I can testify to is the power delivery, not stated in the explanation but clearly written on each battery, "low discharge rate, no memory effect.… see more The registered manufacturer is Ultrafire.

My experience has been less than stellar and extremely short life.
Do not invest in these underwhelming batteries! see less

There is no 18650 with a capacity over 3000mAh that has a rating higher than 10A.
There is no 18650 with a capacity over 3600mAh...period.

Mooch to the rescue...I was going to post there is no such 5000 miliamp 18650 battery (period) based on your testing and my basic knowledge reading your posts.

    Thank again.....!

I re-wrap all my batteries with them labeled Sony VTC7 65amp 8,000 mah. Drives the kloud kiddies at the vape shops crazy.
