Just received my 4ml Pyrex tank from Valley View Vapes, first tank ever! It looks great, does not leak whatsoever, and the feel of the pyrex is amazing. I ordered the SS end caps as well, and they are amazing. I got the cartos pre-punched from VVV, and the punching process seems to have left them a little out-of-round, so I had a little trouble inserting the carto in the tank the first time, and lost a tank of juice. Oh well...learning curve. I usually vape around 4.2 volts with my lavatube, but with the tank setup, I had to kick it up to 5.5 to get the same taste and TH. Is this a normal experience?

I can't give you an answer about the higher voltage vaping question. I'm ordering my first higher voltage APV (a Provari) tomorrow.

I can give some suggestions and recommendations concerning your Triple V pyrex tank, and carto tanks in general, though. The deformed carto issue from self-punching cartos is an issue that I have experienced as well. I've decided to go with the pre-drilled variety to avoid the distortion issue altogether. I get mine from the Smoktech site for the XL size cartos, as I have the 7 ml Triple V tanks. They sell their Smoktech dual and single coil cartos with either 1, 2, or 3 pre-drilled holes in three different resistances. I know they sell the standard size Boges on their site, as well, but I don't recall if they offer the pre-drilled option there. Check around some of the other sites like Mad Vapes, Crystal Ckear Vapes, Clouds of Vapor, Hoosiers, Hot Vapes, etc to see who may offer them. Or, someone else here may recommend a site that offers them.

You can lubricate the carto and the o-rings in the end caps with some juice to ease tank assembly. I also highly recommend getting a tank filling tool like the Slap Yo Moma tool from Big Daddy Vapers. This tool helps guide the carto thro the endcaps, protects your o-rings from the sharp edges of the carto end, and aids in filling the tank with juice. An essential tool in my opinion.
