Hello,
I recently returned to work in a factory environment, previously i had been used to being able to smoke pretty much whenever i got the urge during the working day and as a fairly heavy smoker (half ounce of old holborn a day) i had been finding it difficult to make it through to break times without sneaking off for a few discrete puffs
. i had to stop sneaking off for smokes and figured a small boost in nicotine levels would be enough to see me through, i tried nicorette gum but it didn't do it for me so i decided to try an e-cig.
I bought a cheap e-cig from a chinese site just to test the waters so to speak and
although it was next to useless (for around £5 inc postage i wasn't expecting much) it showed me that the idea was sound so i started reading forums and watching video reviews and decided to try a couple of mini e-cigs and WOW! these things are fantastic, currently im using a DSE 901 and as it was taking care of my craving so well in the stressful workplace environment i decided to see if i could actually give up the smokes totally and so far so good.
My last smoke was 5 days ago (a couple of drags on a rollup i wrapped on autopilot) and although i still reach for my baccy pouch automatically, i haven't yet had a craving that the e-cig hasn't been able to take care of.
It's early days yet of course but the signs are positive and i am feeling great although i almost feel as though i am cheating... i mean giving up cigarettes is supposed to be painful isn't it? requiring large amounts of willpower and suffering
so far (yes its still early days!) its a piece of cake.
Is it really as easy at it seems? i mean from tobacco to e-cig with no pain? right now it feels like i could vape on and never need another ciggy, is this a honeymoon effect which will pass and leave me craving the baccy again? or can i expect to be fine as long as i keep vaping? i really hope it doesn't pass because i feel really good right now (even if i do feel like im somehow cheating) and whats more its earned me a big chunk of browny points with my missus
Bonus!.
