Just got a 5v box mod today. Just wondering what I need to look out for. Is it a bad idea to use low resistance attys? or dual coil cartos? Also, I have a pair of 1440 high drain bats, will these be okay to use? thanks in advance.
LR Atty's = NO,,,,, Dual coils = OK,,,,, I'm not sure what Batts your mod was built to use, if your not sure ask the vendor where you purchased it just to be safe.
Yep.. don't go lower than a 2.5 ohm atty.. many folks say 3.0.. but never even Think about lower than 2.5. You would be vaping at around 12 watts then and your actually burning instead of vaping at that point.
Oh and on 5v.. nicotine can be LOTS STRONGER. The jury is out on why this happens but Im a 24 ng guy on 3.7 volts.. 16 MG can get me flying and nic'd out with the 5 v so you may have to experiment and re-adjust your nic levels.
If it is a regulated 5 volt mod then you will want a ohms rating of around 2.8 ohms for 9 watts , a very standard power level for most people , for lower power use a 3.0 ohm atty .
