I was sitting here at the 'pooter about to light up the first smoke of the day. I flicked my Bic, but just before I lit the end of the cigarette, I thought, "I don't want this." I put the cigarette back in the pack and picked up my little Blu cigalike from its special case with the social features. :rolleyes: That pack of smokes is still sitting on my TV table with the last 2 cigs waiting for my just-in-case-emergency. There are still 2 unopened packs sitting in the fridge as well. :tumble:

After 30+ years, I was pretty sure I was going to die with a VSlims in my hand. Now, I'm pretty sure I'm going to die with a Provari in my hand. The little Blu still holds a special place in my heart, along with the cherry crush tank. In honor of the little Blu, I'm vaping it as I write this post. :smokie:

Thank you to ECF and all the helpful people here. I've learned a lot from all of you and enjoyed the silly stuff in the Tootle Puff thread. :D I'm proud to be one of the Provari-nutti (not a typo). :thumbs:

Vape on! :party::toast: :vapor:
Congrats!!! :toast: To many more smoke free years!!

Thank you everyone. I can remember back when I was just a lurker how much I envied the folks with the quit counters with years on them instead of days. You all were such an inspiration to a newbie back then. :wub:

I won't be tossing the orphaned packs of smokes though. I remember how much even a fresh pack tasted like an ashtray, and keeping those crispy critters around is extra incentive to make sure that I have a bona fide emergency before I try to fire one up. If they didn't kill me, I'm sure they would make me wish I was dead. :eek: :shock:

What is a "pooter"? Is it a toilet I'm thinking? Your having a poop and putting things in your mouth? :confused: Please tell me I'm wrong. Good for you giving up though.

You're wrong. Very, very wrong, I'm thankful to say.

Note the apostrophe at the beginning of the word. The missing letters are "com": 'pooter ---> computer

So glad you became a poster and not just a lurker :) you have helped in ways I am thankful for (kitty stuff) ;) I myself kept a pack of smokes, with one missing for about 4-1/2 years...when we moved into a smaller place I finally was able to ditch them, but hanging on to them was a sort of inspiration to not resort to smoking them, I get it. They didn't bother me sitting there on the top shelf of a cabinet...and I knew they were there if I wanted them...thing is, once I was solid in my commitment to vaping, I never wanted them :)

    I'm still living in the yacht I bought with the first year's savings.
    After 4 years, my 'cents not spent' might get me a decent down payment on a 20' bass boat.. Maybe I should've smoked more, or lived somewhere a pack of cigs cost me more than $6..
