Irony it's Phili, seat of Liberty.

I'd write Mayor Nutter (another irony)*rolly eyes*

a very respectful letter (and start a grass roots petition, and letter writing and all that other stuff you do to elicit change) that lets those elected officials know if there's any more taxes or restrictions to vaping they'll be looking for another job come election time.

We got Tom Delay in office and we took him out ..out in Sugar Land, TX where I resided for 25 years prior to moving over here to Pearland..and others.

get active, I'm sure the B&M's will have something going on..I'd hope.

Yeah, just kidding, everyone is always just kidding, but there it goes, something else gone or chipped away at by people we trusted

I don't know about you but I don't trust any politician. That being said, I still believe in our country as a whole. There are nations and countries that have tyrants for leaders and take everything from their people. As much as I can complain about our leaders being greedy, they still allow me to live comfortably which is more than I can say for many others. I for one do not want to see this country come full circle on itself.

It's a shame, but we couldn't have deluded ourselves to believe that vaping would remain largely untaxed forever. We're taking a big revenue source away since cigarette sales are declining. The taxation on cigarettes was originally imposed as a means of accounting for the massive increased healthcare costs smokers put on the system. We don't have those added costs, but people have forgotten the original point of those taxes. They're just another way to line the coffers.
State and federal logic for generating revenue seems to stem from increasing taxation rather than more effective fiscal management. Over bloated bureaucracies are huge money sinks due to the massive employee contingent and how long it takes to get anything done.

Mail order is the way to go, hope you don't like to try before you buy...

I could see if the amount were reasonable and demonstrated any understanding of vaping at all, but why would anyone vape shop in Philly when you can either order online to evade the tax or make close 10 ml for the tax on 1 from the comfort of your own home. All this does is hurt the Philly economy more.

i don't know how it goes in your state but here in Minnesota they do things differently.
if the state says it cost them 600 million for smoking related illness they really mean
Minnesotans payed 600 million.80% of which was out of pocket or paid with insurance.

of course none of the money thru the settlement or taxes ever paid the bills of any smoker.
its put in the general fund with some going to smoke free Minnesota org. to spew propaganda
against smoking that's turning into general hysteria against e-cig's.
:2c:
