Sorry for so many lol
Last one for now
My grandfather told me this many years ago and its always stuck with me even more since he passed.

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Burger King’s Triple Whopper with cheese has an amazing 1,230 calories. Hardees Monster Thickburger has 1,420 calories and 2,770 grams of sodium. Carl’s Jr.'s Double Six hamburger has 1,520 calories and 111 grams of fat. Most people need only 44-66 grams of fat per day, and most of them should come from sources like nuts, fish, and olive oil.

(The thread is already 25% full. I wonder if FireMist will need to start a third thread before the end of the giveaways? Happy Monday, everyone.)

Huge rocks in Death Valley mysteriously move really far, all on their own. No one knows how, because no one's ever seen it happen.

In Death Valley there is a dry lake bed full of really unusual rocks. The "Sailing Stones" often appear with tracks behind them indicating that they have moved or have been pushed somehow. This is strange because some of these rocks are SEVERAL HUNDRED POUNDS. Furthermore, they can't have been pushed by humans or animals because there are no accompanying human or animal tracks.

There are competing theories as for how these rocks could have been moved. Some scientists believe that strong gusts of wind must somehow move these rocks. Others have suggested that they move from the flow of melting ice. It's difficult to believe either theory since there is no consistent pattern of movement for the rocks. Rocks near each other have moved in completey different directions, their paths are winding and random, and some of the rocks don't move at all!

The Brontosaurus NEVER EXISTED.

When asked to name some dinosaur names, a few names come to mind: T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Brontosaurus. Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a Brontosaurus.

The first "Brontosaurus" skeleton was discovered by paleontologist O.C. Marsh in 1879. Since the skeleton he found didn't have a head, he used a skull that was found miles away to complete the skeleton. He named the hybrid-dino-skeleton "Brontosaurus" (Thunder Lizard).

It turns out that the skeleton that Marsh found was actually the skeleton of an Apatosaurus, a species that Marsh had already discovered and named two years earlier. Since the dinosaur in question already had a name, there was no longer any dinosaur named Brontosaurus.

The supposed head of the Brontosaurus was later discovered to be from a different dinosaur known as the Camarasaurus. This means that not only is there no such thing as a Brontosaurus, but also there is no dinosaur that looks like what the Brontosaurus looks like. It was literally the head of one dinosaur on the body of another dinosaur.

The average office desk has 400 TIMES more bacteria than a toilet.

This is according to a microbiologist at the University of Arizona. So think twice about eating your lunch at your work desk! You may as well eat in the bathroom. You can actually reduce sick days in the office by 30% simply by disinfecting your desk regularly.

Also, a cutting board typically has 200 times as much E. coli bacteria as a toilet seat, so you may want to consider disinfecting that as well. If you use your cutting board to cut raw meat, you may want to try using a different surface for other foods.

The jump you sometimes get while falling asleep has a name!

Falling asleep after a long day of work or school? One of the most awkward sensations you can ever feel while falling asleep is feeling that you are falling down.

A hypnic jerk is an involuntary twitch which occurs during hypnagogia, just as a person is beginning to fall asleep, often causing him or her to awaken suddenly for a moment.

Physically, hypnic jerks resemble the "jump" experienced by a person when startled, often accompanied by a falling sensation. A higher occurrence is reported in people with irregular sleep schedules.

According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine there are a wide range of potential causes, including anxiety, caffeine, stress and strenuous activities in the

Kraft Singles cannot legally be called cheese!

Kraft singles has been a classic American cheese product for over 60 years. Three generations of Americans have been using Kraft Singles in billions of sandwich melts and burgers over the years.

The product’s full name is Kraft Pasteurized Processed Cheese Product. It cannot be called cheese because less than 51% of it is actually cheese. The rest is composed of other ingredients.

A single slice of this processed cheese product has 70 calories, 45 of them from fat. The saturated fat in just one slice is 3 grams and accounts for 15% of the maximum daily consumption. That same slice accounts for 11% of the recommended daily sodium max.

On the positive side, 4 slices will give you 100% of your daily calcium requirement.
