Yesterday I commented on how good the 510 worked with the kr808d-1 cartomizer. It was great for awhile then it started tasting burnt so I took the 510 off the passthrough as I thought the power was to great. I was right, with the batteries instead of the passthrough it was great again and I vaped all day untill I got a headache from to much vaping. I have found my setup thats perfect. Now I just need to work on battery life not voltage.

That's interesting. The 10440 batts for the PT can charge to 4.2V, based on the info on my batts (Ultrafire fro DX). I just verified that with a stand-alone charger: one charged to 4.22V. The regular batts are 3.7V. So perhaps the added voltage was too much for the kr808d-1 carto, and they really don't want to be above 3.7V.

That's good info, 5cardstud. I've been toying with the idea of a kr8, just because it is so loved in the 2-piece community. Did using the 510 batt require an adapter, or do they fit as is?
