I've been vaping on a 510 for some time now. And I'm wanting another PV to add to my collection. I've been looking at KR808's recently as the PCC kits that are available are very appealing to me. I would like an honest opinion on whether i should try the KR808 or stick with my 510. If you have another PV you think i should check out, let me know. Thanks.

I would recommend giving the KR808 a try. The better flavor and longer battery life it provides are nice alternative to the 510 and the PCC for the KR808D-1 is a nice little unit. Inexpensive kits make it an easy choice to add to your collection. Beyond that, it really depends on what you are looking for in your next kit. More flavor? More throat hit? Longer Battery life? Accessories?

The KR is a very nice ecig. Over at Vapor4Life there's a bazillion flavors, one of which is sure to delight you. That said, the 510 is awesome too. You don't say whether you use an atomizer/cartridge filler system or the newer 'cartomizers' on your 510. Also, to switch things up you might give a try to "updating" your 510. If you buy a Riva battery, you won't need a PCC because the battery will last all day (and into the next, for me). Couple that with cartomizers and I've actually gone the OTHER way... from the 510 to the KR808 and now back to the 510, tricked out with the super battery and cartomizers. I fill them using the double dip condom method and couldn't be happier!

As long as you have 510 attys and carts, you're best 'upgrade' would be to go to the eGo or as Michelle suggests, the Riva. The Tornado from TW is another option. All you need is two batteries, a cone and a quick charger to start.

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.

The other new development is the mega eGo cartomizers:

eGo cartomizer

... that have lasted me 5 hours of vaping per refill. And the mega eGo atomizer and cartridges, which also last at least 5 hours. The carto and carts hold 2.5ml of ejuice.

eGo cylinder mega atomizer
eGo cylinder mega cartridge

There are other places to get these but cignot currently has all in stock and is a good vendor.

The Riva battery which is 750mAh rather than the eGo 650mAh - another hour basically, is fully compatible with all above - not all the non-joye eGo clones are - and is available at Nhaler.com and other places.

I started with the 510 and while not abandoning it, I experimented with the KR8/cartomizers and while at the time they were a convenient way to vape for 2 or 3 hours without having to refill, now with the mega eGo cartomizers which go even longer, I find no need for the KR8's any longer. The vapor was always better on the 510 and I found that many of the KR8 cartomizers had an underflavor that was off putting, but not everyone tastes that - many do though. It's not a terrible ecig by any stretch, just that with the eGo/Tornado/Riva that you get the battery life with the 510 and you still have the best atomizer on the market for vapor, imo.

If you want to be able to select among many different flavors of prefilled cartomizers, definitely try the Kr8. If you really do like the 510, but want the convenience of cartomizers (and don't mind filling blank ones with e-liquid), get some 510 cartos.

If cartomizer convenience is not a factor:

  • For a greater capacity battery, get the 750 mAh Riva (to use with your 510 attys or the larger eGO cartos/carts/attys Kent mentioned).

  • For a different vaping experience, try the Joye 302 penstyle.
However, my opinion or Kent's or Michelle's or cyberwolf's will not necessarily be yours. I suggest that you take a look at my comparative review of the Kr8 and 510 (and the Joye 302 penstyle) and decide for yourself.
