510 atomizer to ego battery issue

In general, generic and branded "EGO" style batteries (510 center threaded with a skirt of 12mm "ego" threading just below) have an AMP limit between 2 and 2.5 amps.

hello guys, i have a Goblin mini V3 but i only have ego batteries. I've read in many threads that a 510 atomizer works fine on ego type batteries, so, i've screwed my goblin mini V3 with 1Ω resistance on it on the ego battery. the resistance heated properly but right after that my ego battery never worked again. what happened??

Welcome and glad you joined. Sorry to hear about your experience. For your application, I like the Eleaf Istick 40TC.

I used Ego 1100mAh batteries with Innokin 16D clearos, and the little Vision Nano clearos, almost exclusively for about a year. The 16D coils I used were 1.5-1.8 ohms, and the Nanos were about 1.8, too. Never had a problem with those batteries and coils. Couldn't imagine putting a Goblin Mini on one though.

1.5 is really the minimum to go with them (and that does shorten their lives with stress)
The mosfets in them are rather delicate...they just aren't made for low res vaping.

As I already said...

A Goblin probably won't work/produce much vapor, even with a resistance above the minimum. It's got two coils, it's going to need a certain amount of power (which you won't have) to produce vapor.
