Has anyone ever bent the bridge a little? Like maybe if you flatten it out a bit would it wick the liquid better? Or would it be better to maybe sqeeze iy together to get more of a point? Has anyone tried this? Or would I just destroy my atty?
Trust me.. it destroys the atty! Once you compress the nickel mesh it stops wicking the juice properly. And the use of any kind of metal tool.... needle nose pliers, etc... will crush the mesh.
I'll admit that I have inserted a small (very small) screwdriver into my atty, put it just beside the 'bridge' and pried the bridge over every so slightly just to center it inside the housing, only because it was off-center more than I liked.
I didn't cause any harm to the atty, but I wouldn't recommend doing any more than that.
I use a toothpick (round one) to nudge the bridge into place but I wouldn't try to reshape the head. That said I had one 801 atty where the metal mesh came off and there was just the round 'disc' left. I could still vape on it, but sent it back to Parked (dietsmokes) who had already sent me a replacedment for free.
I got a bent bridge on a new atomizer, too. Mine is from LiteCigUSA. Darn thing works like a champ, so I hesitate to move the bridge at all, but it burns cartridges. I've been dripping with it and leaving the cart pulled out a bit, but you say it works to move the bridge a bit, shortstuff? I might have to try...
