510 barely used battery issues, HELP!!!

I HAVE A MANUAL 510 BATTERY, that hasn't been used anywhere as long as others I own. Out of the blue, after 2-3 pulls the battery acts like it's dead. very low heat and low vapor. So, I take it all apart clean and blow and put it back together, check the battery again and when I push the manual button it comes on just like a fully charged one should. Oh , I then do the happy dance put it all back together. Take a pull, nothing. put it back on the charger, it takes the charge, but dont know how long until the light turns green, when it does i start all over again. same thing.
Also Ive tried different attys, no diff, the same thing happens??????????
Any ideas????

If the center plate is raised like it should be then the battery is on its way out. It happens. This is not the vendors fault. But if you just received it in a order contact them for a possible replacement.

If you mean that little thingy in the top of the battery, where you screw it in, doesn't always stick up???
