Sky, I only use it as my batt of last resort, which isn't often. I had it in my car and it would light up whenever I accelerated or stopped, touchy little booger. I prefer the manuals, the auto came with a kit I bought.

dcsubburb, I'd recommend buying a couple of spare manual batteries. Any of the 510 models(Dura-C, Titan, Yeti, etc.) will work so shop around for a good price.

Those of you that have had the 510 the longer than I, how long do these batteries last? Do they gradually last for a shorter duration than they did when they were new?

I have noticed that my 2 oldest batteries, about 2 months old, seem not last as long as my 2 newest batteries. At full charge they still reach the full charge voltage. But I suspect they discharge quicker than the newer batteries.

What have been your experiences?

I thought I'd post an update on my battery experience. 3 manual batteries after 6 weeks of alternating use are still working. Battery 1 lasts about 15 minutes and will be retired. The other two still hold a charge and work for about 60 minutes. I lost my first atomizer today, the other two atty's are still going strong. I just received two new big buttoned batteries today from Electonicstix. Great vendor that I highly recommend. My 510 is working like new again, the new batteries made a big difference. My experience is that batteries last about 4-5 weeks when alternating a combo of 3 in a regular rotation.

I recently acquired a 510 with the manual battery from Totally Wicked. Everything went okay for a week and some days, but now the battery shuts off after I've been using it for a few minutes... as if it is saying "hey, the atomizer is too hot so even though you are pressing the button, I'm not turning on."

Does anyone know if the 510 manual batteries have this capability to not let you use it if it gets too hot? Maybe I got a bum battery? It only really does it after the atty gets nice and warm... but then again, that is when it produces the best vapor.

Sounds like a bad battery. I've never had a manual batt cut off. I had a 510 in my pocket that got hot enough to burn me recently. Due to the way I was sitting the button was being depressed, got my attention real quick.
