I find myself posting here again because of another battery issue. In my few weeks of vaping everything is going great except for the batteries, these things are a real pain in the ....

The Story: One of the batteries in my starter kit was bunk so I sent it back to altsmoke (who have excellent customer support) and they sent me a new one, an even fancier looking one but probably the same thing. My new order of e-juice and cartomizers came yesterday and it was my first time using cartos. Topped one off and screwed it into the new battery, it seemed as though there was a some resistance to screw it in. Vaped all day and was satisfied, till last night I threw the new battery on the charger and it won't charge all of a sudden, but if I take the charger in one hand and the battery in the other and sort of press them together (not very hard) it will charge but I can't let go or the light goes green again. My older battery charges fine though, did the carto ruin the threading? Any solutions? I already tried cleaning the contacts and it didn't work.

Did you buy auto batteries? You can damage them or kill them with juice leaks, especially carto leaks since they aim right for the hole in the auto battery.

Did you screw anything in HARD? Doing that can depress a center post. Compare the height of the threaded end center post of the battery that charges and the one that won't. If the problem one's post is lower, try lifting it gently a little tiny bit. Do not stick anything in an auto's posts' center hole. Things should only be screwed in just enough to work, never hard.

Did you check both the end of the battery and the charger for juice residue? I always wipes the threads and post of a battery with tissue before sticking it in a charger.

No I have manual batteries so the juice leak can't be the issue. Now that I think of it the first time I put a carto on the new battery I did screw it in hard but only because there was resistance, but only enough to make contact with the battery. Is there a way to fix the post with the manual batteries? Also, I always wipe these things down, I just used alcohol to see if that would work.

Aha! It worked, thanks a lot guys I really appreciate the help.

Welcome :)

One of my ego batts has got something wrong with it to where whatever screws into it, isn't in line with the battery. Like it screws in cockeyed. I can push on it lightly and make it straight. Never had any problems with it though. Just looks funny :)
