Hi everyone,

Been vaping for about a month now. Using a VaporNine Vapor Cannon, which is a 510. So far I've done the drip thing with an atty, filled cartos, and tried a modded clearomizer. I really dig the clearomizer though I think I need one with a lower resistance (currently own a couple of 2.9-3.0 ohm clearos).

Okay, now to my problem: my 510 hardware no longer fits my battery. One day it all fit just fine, now none of it will tighten down. It looks like the battery's center pin below the threading port has slid up and is now too high to allow the threading on my cartos/attys to grab. My 510 to 808 adapter still works fine so I'm currently using 808 Cartomizers but want my LR 510s.

Can anyone help? Anybody have tips or suggestions on other possible causes?

Thanks,
Malthusian

Constantly changing atomizers can wear out the threads. Usually, the center post recedes into the battery from excessive pressure used to tighten it. I haven't heard of one moving up. I have a couple of batteries with threads that are worn from a year of installing and uninstalling attys. One will lose the carto if you bump it wrong, so I've gone back to using a cone with all my attys (eGo batts).

But yes, the threads do wear, especially if you use the same two batteries every day.

You have been using LR on a slim 510? And the center post of the battery pushed UP? I would toss it.

LR cartos (stuff under 2.5 ohms and all duals coils) are for 450mah+ fat batteries an mods. You can damage slim batteries by using LR stuff on them.

WAIT - I thought Vapornine Vapor Canon was a Leo, not a 510. "a 510" here refers to the slim 180mah Joye 510 model. So that is not what you have? is this a new 510-compatible Leo??

Confused. In any case, a battery's center post that moved UP does not sound good.

You can look for local shops here - VaporSearchUsa.com

If your Vapor canon is under warranty, contact the vendor

Meanwhile, some 7-11's, tobacco shops, gas stations, drug store sell ecigs. the RiteAid in my neighborhood has what looks like an RN4081 Century Smoke at the front checkout counter. You can find something to use until your order comes.

Dormouse, I believe you're right. After some research it seems I have a Leo. That explains quite a bit. It's almost 510 threading (close enough for that some of my 510 cartos will screw on while my 510 atty won't quite catch hold. It's a 650mah battery. I popped over to the VaporNine site and noticed they had a Leo to 510 adapter. But, I'm kinda sold on the idea of an 1100mah at this point.

Thanks for the help. Stupid noob mistake. :(
