I have had my BB for a couple of weeks and I love it. I'm using a 510 atty, and vaping at 3.7v with the standard batteries that I ordered with the device. However, I'm having some issues...

When I first put in a new cartridge, I find I get really good flavor and vapor, the first 10 puffs are great, then I find that I either start getting a burnt taste, or I just get less flavor/vapor. I've tried different liquids, a new atty, new batteries, even new carts, but I seem to have this problem a lot... It just seems that my vaping experience is inconsistent. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong... I thought the cartridges were supposed to last a while, and I'm thinking I should be able to get more than 10 or so puffs before having to top up again. I've even pulled out the filler in the cartridge, dripped onto it to ensure it's well soaked, then put it back in...

I'm going to try some different attys with the BB (801, 901 and KR808 carts) and see if that helps...

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt.

First of all the carts on the 510 arnt really that good. People on here have tried all sorts of things including using pyramid tea bags, straws, and pen springs to help maximize longevity of 510 carts. Some methods work, but most (like me) end up using the 510 to drip only. If you still want the convenience of carts, I would recommend the KR808 cartomizers. Altsmoke ususally has these in prefilled varities or blank so you can fill with your favorite flavors. Also you will need an adaptor (also available at altsmoke) to use the 510 connection on your BB.

Try ordering a few different attys to see what you like best. For instance I always thought 801's looked out-dated and gaudy, until I tried one. Now its one of my favorite for at home vaping.

Hope this helps!

I generally use the 808 cartomizers with my SB. After the initial filling, I take about 20 or so puffs, add about 6-8 drops to the cartomizer, and repeat until the cartomizer goes “bad”. Cartomizers work well; just keep them moist in order to reduce the chance of burning the polyfill.

I use empty cartomizers and fill them with my favorite juice.

You BB is doing what it is supposed to do :) I felt the same way you did when I got my first e-cig, 20 cigs my ...! It is a learning curve, I wished I would have read more on this forum, maybe it would not been so frustrating. Get some juice and some spare carts. Read the modders section and find out which cart mods work best for you. The cartomizers work well, although at first they are a bit quirky, but once you get it down you could easily get half day from a filled cartomizer.

Yes, this is the main reason why a lot of us actually drip into the devices as opposed to using cartridges. It seems like it's almost a flaw in the design, how are you ever going to get to the end of the cartridge if the atomizer actually vaporizers the liquid at the beginning first? You won't eventually you'll get less vapor, it's a learning curve for beginners as a lot don't know what to expect.

I know when I first started vaping, me and my mom vaped on nothing for the first few hours and thought it was the greatest thing in the world ;P Then I was like...hmm maybe it's time to change the cartridge, due to the taste change...and that's when I realized that it came with a dummy cartridges on the atomizer first :) I prefer Dripping than topping off the cartridges, give it a go and maybe you'll find the same conclusion :)
