I just got my 510 today and I love dripping with it, but I had *just* gotten back into the habit of using carts on my 401 and loved the convenience on the go.

The stock carts and filler dont work very well at all.. Not in the slightest.. not a bit. UGH. I'll get one, maybe 2 draws.. then all i get is burnt atty. I tried the ZFM and the penspring mod both, to no success. Any other reccomendations? I guess I should also mention that I've tried my other carts fresh from the package with no luck either. Stock juice and all.. just pulled the rubber cap and aligned it to the atty.

I never had this problem with the 401. I could vape a cart bone dry with no bad tastes. Why cant I even get 2 or 3 draws on the 510?

Don't get me wrong.. I love the 510, as its my main go-to now.. but this is a slight hamper to my vaping enjoyment.

The atty works fine with dipping and does put a little indent into the polyfill though

I just refilled another cart with some blueberry hoping its just a fluke from the other 2 carts, but I can still taste something that's defiantly not blueberry.

You can easily have an atty that works well with dripping and still won't wick liquid from a cart. Sadly, that's the nature of the beasts.

I would always get that burnt polyfill/burnt atty taste until I switched to the PTB filler.

I pulled all the polyfill out of my carts earlier and cleaned them all really nice. Stuffing them back in, I noticed that I had a super small scorch spot on the side of one of the carts. Small enough that it looked like a bit of condensation. Perhaps I am burning the polyfill?

Is the 510 atty coil at the top of the bridge, compared to the coil of a 401 sitting in the pot? If that is the case then I think I know exactly whats happening.

I have to agree when i first got my 510 it sucked badly compare to what i was getting with my 401...Am still trying to find a way to get around it.. Yes when i dripp about 2 drops i get a nice drag... But after it drys off to quickly.. Unlike my 401 i get like 5-6 out of the same 2 drops... Like i said i know 510 is a juice ..... and burns up fast.. The coil inside out it is like hell... But what can we do it's the champ of e-cig atm.. Just when on the go or at work i can't really use the 510 so much cause i always need to refill..

I'll try the blue foam..

I had the same problem with my 510 for the first week I had it. I finally came across a video from TGWTF explaining how to quickly clean the atty. Take the atty off of the battery and blow through it from the threaded end, while holding a paper towel/napkin/tissue on the other end to catch any liquid inside. Then reconnect it to the battery with no cart, and do a 5 second dry burn(hold the button for about 5 seconds. Take it back off and blow through it again, then another dry burn(this totally removed any burn taste i ever had) You then need to get some Pyramid Tea Bags and do the Pyramid tea bag mod, this has been amazing for me! Works awesome! I now never get that burnt taste, unless I run it low on liquid and I get at least 10 GOOD drags. :D Keep in mind that dry burning can ruin an atty, but I have done it numerous times now with no problems, just dont go any longer than five seconds.
