Hello, Im always on the hunt for something to replace boges or at least an option. I hear some people punch these and pop them in a carto tank. I just havent seen any actual reviews regarding tank use with these. If you have tried these in a tank I would love to hear your experience good and bad.

Moved from Cartomizers to clearomizers

I have used CE2 rev4-6/ultimate's. I don't know what they mean by 'new wick system' as the ones I opened were a normal CE2 style just like the clearos of the same revision.
I have tanked both the steel and clearo style, but it has been a while.
I stopped using them as the top seal was a pain to get lined up with the wicks, the clearos were easier to work with.

I always have a couple tanks going with CE2 R5's in them, but I use the tanks designed for them( MAP & Torpedo) so can't really give any info concerning putting them in carto ( Polyfill ) tanks. I think they would wick better and are much easier to clean with the tube cut off also, jmi. They work great once you have a little experience with them, cutting them, putting them into and taking them out of the tanks, etc. You also can't beat their longevity, ease of cleaning, and good taste. I usually have two tanks going at any given time, rinse (at the sink) and dry burn them after about 6 to 8ml's of use and they're ready to go in 5 minutes. Using them in this way I get on average a couple months of use from each carto. I don't really understand why more don't use them.

Not really sure why this was moved to clearomizers.

With the new coil changeable systems, they are pretty much a CE2 tank.
Certain systems also have the ability to be recoiled if you want.
Other systems have the heads for $1-1.60 each, but the vivi nova coils seem to run higher.

I meant putting them in a phiniac tank or similar tanks similar to DCT tanks. I saw a thread on the Phiniac forum regarding the possibility selling them with the CE s in them . Some replied that they were doing this.

Yes I have put them in regular carto tanks, but that was many months ago and I don't remember why I stopped.
I wish I could remember the good/bad, but I don't, sorry. I just know I did it and moved on for whatever reason.
One of the main reasons for not using the metal tubes, was not being able to see the top seal and seeing if it was to high or low on the wicks causing flooding/choking around the wicks.

i have tried punching them and putting them in Phiniac tanks based on others saying they worked well. For me I cannot get them to work. I have tried 1,2,and 3 holes and they still don't seem to get enough juice. I am going to try cutting them with my Dremel once I get a few cutting wheels in.

I tried the dremel also, I cut large sections out. The metal ones are the same internally as the clearos.
So I switched to the clearos as they were easier to disassemble; clean and install the top seal.
I used a xacto knife and even cut large section out of the plastic tubes. They are a little flimsy and putting them in tanks required ease but the clearos worked the best for me. I ended up using a drill and putting 4 holes in the plastic tube as it was the strongest method.
Still wish I could remember why I moved on. There must have been issues somewhere, I just don't remember.

It's kinda like those little puzzles you try to bet the ball into various tight places. What you are creating is a tank within a tank. When the juice starts going down, you gotta try to get that little ball (juice) into the center tank, past all the little holes without all running out, up to the top to keep the wicks wet. They would probably work much better if the wicks could run free. I tried making my tanks a while back out of syringes, and inserting the clearomizer through. They never worked more than half-..., and ended up being far more of a pain than they were worth. Better just to use the clearomizer as it was.

They used to have something called the Arry tank that held CE2s, but I think they are a thing of the past also.

I think it's the ceramic cup we're in love with. The new tank type devices like the T2, the stardust and the Vivi Nova are missing these (never had a Vivi, hope I'm not wrong!).

I got something a while back at DV that was called a CE5+. It looks like a Stardust, but the innards are replaceable. Unscrewing the tube from the base you are presented with an actual CE2 device, which is replaceable, much like the Vision Stone. I still got 3 tubes and about 15 coil units. It really works great, and none of the tubes show any signs of failing, so it ought to last a while if I need it to. The only drawback is it has a really tight draw. They don't sell them any more, though. Their new units have the coils like the Vivi.

I remember the arry tank and it made me think of a old vid on youtube. I've posted these somewhere on ecf before, but it's been a while and I'm not sure where they moved them to.
Looking back at some of these old designs, I get a chuckle....lol.

Thank you for all the responses, Like I thought, it seems as though it probably a no go. It seems as though it too fiddly, or just not good enough to keep it going. I will continue trying to find something easy just to keep my chain vaping habit going smoothly.
