Can I trust the light on the wall charger? Sometimes it seems to go to green before it should. I know the instructions said to ignore the green light with the first charge, but what about subsequent charges? And why bother with any indicator light at all if it is irrelevant what color it is?

Can any damage be done by taking a half charged battery off the charger for use?

Can any damage be done by leaving a battery on charger too long?

Thanks

The instructions that come with the 510 (and I think eGo) are just wrong -- holdover from NiCad and/or NiMH. When the light goes green, that's it. LiIon batts do not have the memory effect problem, and don't need to be conditioned. The possible problem with leaving them on the charger would be that if the charger is defective, you could have an overcharge, which can result in fire. I leave mine on the charger all the time, and haven't had a problem.

If the chrager is working properly, there is no problem leaving battery on the charger. But if it isn't, then yes, you can shrten your battery life.

Also, Li-Ion batteries last longer if they are not fully drained between charging. Topping them off is better than drainging them all the way and then charging them.

Be sure to clean you battery connection frequently with a Q-Tip.
