510 Gold V2 Drip Style Carto's Filling Method

Hello all. I am a newbie to carto's and just got a few of these from Ikenvape. I have to say so far I am very impressed.

I have a question for the veterans out there. I have used the condom method to fill them. Is this the best way to do it, or should I be dripping from the top? If dripping from the top, should I aim at the middle or the sides?

Thanks in advance for the help, I just want to make sure I'm using the best way to fill them.

I just put juice in them until they won't hold no more then siphon the excess back into the bottle.

If I'm in a hurry I use a syringe. Push it to the bottom and fill a little, rotate to opposite side and fill a little more, pull syringe half way up filling and repeat.

I think it's still best to fill a few at a time and let them sit upright and top off as needed. I usually carry around 3 or 4 filled cartos and refill them at the end of the day.

jack I go back and forth with both methods. Lately dripping, at an angle I drip 5 to 9 drops (depending on 510DT/fusion/mega) so it doesn't puddle too much. Wait 1 minute and repeat until I can't see light through the center. The tough thing is letting it sit. I try to wait about a half hour. Sometimes I only make it 30 seconds, but waiting does pay off.
I also drip 5 to 7 drops often as it gives me that topped off hit that I like.

I fill mine right to the top. Give them the taryn spin and vape if I'm in a hurray. It all gets sucked into the filler anyway and if there is too much in it just squeeze your bottle stick the end back into the carto and unsqueeze. It draws the excess back into the bottle. Or draw the excess if any with a syringe. I use one of those droppers with the bulb on the end. No waste that way but I hardley ever overfill.

Personally, I drop eight drops in - shake it like a thermometer - drop eight more drops - give it another shake - and then four to 8 drops again (depending on thickness of the juice) and let it sit for about 20 minutes. If I'm desperate, I'll use it right away as I generally don't have an issue with it burning or tasting nasty since it's thoroughly filled for me.

I fill from the top like a beer this is so I can report (BETA tester) how much liquid the carto will hold on avg. From the total I will subtract 5 drops when I fill the next one and it is perfect and no lost of juice, refreshing every hour or so with 5-10 drops.

I am new to using cartomizers...I just got my 510 gold v2 drip style's in today and seen this thread and decided to drip my drops..I let it sit for an hour, dripped some more, then let it sit even longer. I then put it on the infinity and got a burnt taste which is all I have ever gotten with the carto's I have tried. My sister got hers in and used the condom filling method and said the flavor is awesome..I don't have any condoms to fill mine with. Should I try to use another carto and see if that one was just a dud...I did fill the carto all the way also.

Okay, I think I've got it:

-I tilt and pour down the side (as though I'm filling a ceramic), turn and pour a little more til I've done the whole circumference and wait for it to absorb.
-When It puddles at the top I put the cart condoms on both ends and roll between the palms of my hand.
-I check to see if there are any dry spots and if there are I add a couple more drops.
-Lastly, and if I'm not too impatient I'll cap off the ends again, put it in a sock and whirl it over my head (my version of the Taryn spin) 15 to 20 times. I'm assuming the centrifugal force is what I'm after but if I'm wrong and there's a precise technique I probably don't have the attention span for it.

The carto is usually ready to vape if I'm desperate or to be packed in my to-go kit. Sometimes, though, when I pull it out of my kit I do see dry spots so that does speak to allowing time for absorption.

I burst into this thread (so rudely) because i assumed my fairly frequent topping off meant I was doing something wrong but, thank you, Switched, I see now that it's a normal rate. Jack, I do apologize and thank you again for asking.

Edit to add: Back when I used cartos all the time I saved most of the condoms they came with. They've really come in handy.

Thanks for all the responses. From all the different way, I guess it's more of a preference thing. I seem to be able to get the most amount of juice the fastest by using the condom method. I than also keep topping it off every once in awhile.

LOL I have NO patience for my vape. I add 3-4 drops for a top off and give an outward puff into the cartomizer, a small one mind you, but it does force the liquid where it needs to go. Works in a pinch and an Iken standard

It's a slight learning curve as different units take different strengths of the outward puff, but once down, it's down.

Are my beloved Premium Platinum cartos as good as the old batch? I need to order some more. Which one is the most popular 510 carto nowadays, the DT Gold or the Premium Platinum? I can't decide which one I like better.
